While in my widow brain, I was on ebay bidding furiously on a mourning pendant for hair, then I remembered Bob was as bald as a cue ball ~ Duh!
Unfortunately, the winner wound up paying more than s/he should have ~ oops! *wink*

You might want to consider hanging a bead on your rear view mirror to make certain he goes everywhere w/you ~

I'm still considering having a widows ring made out of his wedding band. It has two pear shaped black diamonds turned upside down in the shape of a broken heart mounted on a gold band. I've already talked to a local jeweler about doing it.

I am glad it gives you comfort :) I have my husbands thumbprint on a pendent of a butterfly. It does the same for me :)

I purchased a teardrop pendent with some of his ashes in it and I felt the same way. I purchased it from the funeral director along with a clock/urn and probably paid more than necessary, but it was what I needed to do and they are worth their weight in gold to our family.

Later I purchased a circle of clear stones that fits perfectly around the teardrop. It now represents life around the sadness of loss. Sharon

This sounds wonderful! I bought a heart shaped Opal (October's birthstone) since October was the month that we met and started dating and the month he passed.

That's excellent, glad to hear it. My aunt took flowers from the arrangement from me that was on my wife's casket. She found a company that makes jewelry out of the flowers. She is having a charm and bracelet made for our 3 year old as well as charms for other family members and friends. I can't wait to see them.

The beads sound like a cool idea. I am glad they are bringing you comfort. I had a family ring made with my birthstone, Cliff's, and our two sons' birthstones from an anniversary ring that matches the anniversary rings he gave me - my birthday is in April so my birthstone is diamond.

Shortly after my husband passing, I found a website that sold memorial jewelry and ordered a silver teardrop that has a heart cut out of the bottom for a bit of his ashes so I can have him with me everyday. I've had so many compliments on the necklace and have told a few what it was and most people thank me for letting them know there is something like this available. On a couple days I've left home without it and I feel lost. It's a great comfort!
