I got my dog today. He is a Shiba Inu. Tomorrow, he's on his way to boot camp. He'll come back fully trained. He's 8 weeks old.

I dropped him off today. The boot camp is basically because I haven't a clue how to start training a dog when I'm gone most of the day. I did this for my last dog and she was spectacular her whole life.

I'm already missing him. I get him back in one month.

Congrats on your new puppy. I have only seen a Shiba Inu once. They are beautiful dogs!!! I really like the boot camp idea. Sure wish I had had acess to something like that with our Siberian Husky. He is going on 3 years old and getting much better but it was touch and go for quite awhile.
Can't wait to see pictures. Have fun with your new puppy.

Oooooo! Congrats!!!

I have never heard of boot camp. I totally would have done that. Frankie is outside happily digging in the shrub garden right now. It is the last of the gardens that I have not got dog proofed yet. I need to get out and get the chicken wire down. It works very well. I give up trying to convince her that digging in the garden is not nice manners. She is very stubborn and persistent so I just works better to make it undesirable for her to dig there. I do have her crate trained. It is wonderful.

I can't wait for pictures. I am going to go and google that breed. :) I have never heard of them.
