So, in a typical fashion I've gotten to that point where I cant seem to get past. I've not handled the last 2 and a half years well infact not long ago my best friend told me "I dont reconise you anymore" I realised things arent going to get better without a lot of work.
My old friends have all abandoned me now cause of my messed up self destructive attitude, I needed a lot more attention and to hang out with them then they could or were willing to give me. I feel horribly lonely and have done for a long time now, I thought it would vanish after a while but it seems like that was a pipe dream.
So what I need is to move on make new friends and fix this chronic loneliness I feel all the time, the problem is I have no idea what or how to start on this. So I need some advice, im not really the bar sort, not anymore anyway and everyone who was my friend in the past has grown bored with me. So I have no outside help. What I need is someone who doesnt know me and wont look at me as I am a leper, but I dont know where or how to start I need some advice on what I can do. I tried to talk to a friend a while ago and got the whole "Jesus you're young just get over it" crap. How can I move on? I work with 1 other person and he rarely talks much and I dont socialise with him.
Some suggestions and some help would be appreciated. I dunno who else to ask most think im just being a nancy boy.

Today I feel grateful. Grateful for my dog Blue (Blue Jean Baby Queen, Prettiest girl I've ever seen). Grateful I'm still kickin'. Grateful I'm finally taking responsibility for my health. Grateful I own my home. Grateful for good friends and neighbors who watch over me. Grateful to God for His everlasting love and patience with me. Grateful I survived the 10 years since my wife of 30 years...

I have been told you never get over it. You just move forward the best you can. I read that "grief, is really love weeping". So when I cry (which is almost everyday) , it is because I loved Joanne so much. It is a sign that I loved her so deeply. I am not ashamed of how much I cry because I love Joanne.
Everyone is different. How you move forward is different for each person because everyone's story of what happened to your soul mate is different. I hope you find your way that works for you.
