Ok so I have a stupid question. How do I know how much oil & gas to mix in order to use the weedwacker & the leaf blower thingy. Any chance there are leaf blowers & weedwackers that don't require a mixture of oil & gas. sure seems like it would be a lot easier. But if anyone has suggestions, I would really appreciate it. I don't want to be the widowed lady who has to keep asking/bothering neighbors with problems with lawn equipment tools. Thanks

I have never did out door work before because of allergies. This year I have to. I took all the old lawn tools out. First to go was the lawn more it was very heavy and I could not put it to get it started. I bought a new electrical one. The weed wackier was already electric. I had some trees trimmed and some cut down. I will have a hedge removed some time this summer and a new fence put up. All of this will give me less out door work to do.
When I have questions about the yard work , I ask my BIL he will come out and show me. I write everything down in a book labeled out door work.

Do your research on the Internet for the oil/gas ratio. If you still aren't sure, call a small motor repair shop or a retail store that sells lawn tools.

I'm not one to ask for help, but do if I really need to.

If you can find the manufacturer and model number, I'd be happy to look it up for you. There are a couple of different mixtures that are real common. My wife never understood why I needed THREE gas cans.

wow, I just found Rick's electric edger in the garage this morning and got it going to trim the bushes - always feels really empowering. I still cannot get the weed wacker going but am going to have a yard guy come to see if he can help every couple of weeks. Lesley

Everything I have is electric. I had so much trouble with lawnmowers I finally went out this year and got an electric lawnmower too. I love it - and it was on sale for $129 at Menards.
