Ok, I do feel like another symptom of this grief journey is the widow/widower brain syndrome. Just for laughs, what are the strangest things you have done?
I'll start (these are just a few).
Couldn't find my reading glasses. Looked everywhere. They were on my head, both pair.
Bought instant potatoes, had two full boxes at home already and have only cooked about 3 times in nearly six months.
Was doing laundry: forgot to put the clothes in the washer.
Also forgot several times to put clothes in the dryer, re-washed several times over several days.
Heading somewhere and drive right by, this is at least a weekly occurance.
Fell asleep on the couch, didn't know if it was a.m or p.m. when I woke up.
I know the saga of Scott thinking he has to iron shirts. Just wanting to know if I am certifiable yet or not!! lol

And while we're on the subject of ironing (not), just so you know, I did have a little experience trying that on my own 30 + years ago for a couple of years before we were married. Found a picture of when I took my oath of office as an attorney that reminded me of this story in the picture I was wearing a 3 piece suit - you know, the suits with a vest (for you youngsters out there), kinda like John Travolta wore in Disco Fever (I was a really terrible dancer too, just so you know!). Anyway, when I started my very first job as a hotshot associate attorney at the young age of 25 (hey, I actually had hair - picture proves it!), I bravely tried to iron my white long sleeve shirt so I'd look all attorney like (must have been another one of those 100% cotton shirts you've all warned me about sooo many times). Anyway, that ironing was for the birds - but see, I was smart back then. So what I did back in those grand ol bachelor days was this - I would iron the cuffs of the sleeves that showed, the collar, and a little bit of the top of the shirt where it buttoned (just enough where the vest wouldn't cover). Then I would wear my 3 piece suit, jacket and vest, so no one could see how wrinkled my shirt was. We didn't have very good A/C in the office, so I sweated like a pig in the summer - but by golly, I looked good! You know, come to think of it, I think Juanita married me just because she felt so sorry for me! And while I'm rolling on the ironing subject, I've still got 2 ironed shirts left in my closet (my hawaiin shirt looked goooood in church today) - so I've still got 2 more weeks of tranquility before all hell breaks loose again that I'm sure you all just can't wait to hear about! Love you all ~ Scott (aka Mr. Magoo)
Have a good day everyone!
