Widows & Widowers Support Group
This community is dedicated to those who have lost a husband, wife, or partner. Anything is open for discussion here, with the hope that we can focus on grief, bereavement, life after loss, and continuing on after a great loss.
It's easiest to see with kids. I have grand kids 9, 7, 6 in the same family, with the six year old the only boy. When he is out at the store and gets a treat, he always makes sure that they get something for his two sisters. Also I like to see when his older sisters are helping him to read. They can be so thoughtful, and it warms your heart.
Thank you.
This is a wonderful posting. It helps us all to think about what light (tiny, sometimes) we can see in the dark abyss of grief.
Joy to me can be defined by your asking this question and all the replies you are getting for it. That means that we ARE able to see that small light and, if we can do that, we might believe the promise of more and more light coming into our dark worlds. And, with that light, comes laughter and appreciation for what we DO have, rather than focusing on what was taken from us.
Hugs,
Terry
The aroma brings a smile to my face.
And the part about faith - yes that's everything. It brings me hope and that is what helps me to breathe :)
I've learned that it's healthier to compare my good times with other people's bad times -
NOT
the other way around.
