In the 4 years since his passing, I have had comments made here and there about my tattoo. Mostly , people are curious and sympathetic and then there is those strangers who have an opinion about everything. And yes the comment about "what if you meet someone else?" To that I answered, if I meet someone else and he has issues with this tattoo then he won't be the right person for me... Let's face it, at our age we have baggage, the right person will also have baggage . It's with baggage we can deal with that will matter.
The only thing I wish I had done different when having my tattoo is to have his signature included...I have seen that done and love it. My husband before passing, told me that he would be my guardian angel and this tattoo is not only fitting but because I had it done on the inside of my left arm, I feel that it is connected to my heart and soul. Many times , I brought it to rest against my heart and it brought me comfort. That was for me and only me, it is what works for me and anyone else who has issues with it needs to learn to deal with that issue, I don't. It's on them, not me.
But the only way you will know if it's right for you is when you won't need to come here for advice, you will know it in your heart.
