Extemely fatigued from fighting this "new" life of so little joy. 2 yrs. Tried everything anybody has ever suggested. Was unloved almost all my life until I met Joe and we loved so beautifully for 16 years total. Cancer stole that away. I've tried everything I know to make a "new" life, but it is so empty. I just go through the motions trying to do what everyone says I should do. I read the Bible, how much God loves us. He gave us freedom to make choices in just about every area of our lives. Now, my question is, why would he not let us make a decision about when to end our lives? Jesus decided to end his life, by not running away. I'm tired of running. I'm ready to let life snuff mine out. I may choose to end my life. Am seriously contemplating it, along with prayer. My best friend committed suicide at age 42. I never felt anger at him, and I know he is with God, forgiven. When I think of what good I can leave behind, I can leave my children with a pretty good inheritance, and they are one paycheck from being homeless, although all 4 of them (my kids and their spouses) are working fulltime. Life is about to eat up normal, working people who cannot afford health insurance, cannot afford to fix their old cars that break down, cannot afford to take their sick animals to the vet, cannot afford to move out of neighborhoods that are so unsafe due to crime/drugs, etc. The way I see it, I have only one good thing left that I can do for my loved ones is to pass on an inheritance, as my parents did for me. It could make their lives SO much more comfortable and safe. I am just in the was. I will write each of them a special letter stating how much I love them, and that this is just my time to exit this earth. I will be looking down on them, seeing their relief at knowing they will have a home for life for free, a gift from me. I have 2 houses paid for and I have 2 kids. My joy will be knowing that I left them this gift. At 66, so many of my friends and relatives have gone on at younger ages, so my choosing to leave at 66 should be no big deal. i will make sure my kids/grands know how very much I love them before I leave. At least, wherever I end up being, there will be others there like me and there will be no more crying, no more pain. If I stop taking all my meds, I will become sick and maybe die a normal death. I'm sure someone there will love me. i don't want your sympathy because the thought of dying brings me a feeling of peace, like when you have walked all day with a small stone in your shoe and you finally get that stone out. How good it feels then, to walk. I will forever love God, will never deny him. But he gave us free will, and I am ready to go on with the next step of my free will. I feel that the final happiness awaits me. At 66, I could have exited this world at many younger ages. This seems to be a decent age to call it quits. Strongly contemplating this choice. Will pray long and hard before I take the final step. Don't feel sorry for me. Finally I will be being proactive in exercising my free choice.
I know you're tired, exhausted from it all - and I know the holidays take a lot out of our resilience. But it's the wrong thing to do. I think deep down inside you know it is, too. If you are really worried about your kids, have them move in with you. I would bet that you would fall in love all over again - with your kids and grandkids.
At 2 years out, if you're feeling like this, and you can't get past it, then it means that you need extra help. Please call your pastor, your doctor, your kids, or even 911 - get help.
One of the things I discovered by hanging on was that life was worth living, and that I would have missed so very much if I had given in to the temptation to end it all. Whenever I fell into that dark hole, I would tell myself "NO, not today." I pushed through those times - one day at a time - and it was worth it.
Your kids don't want STUFF - they want YOU. You are far more precious to them than any material things. If you don't believe me, ask them. And in the meantime, keep coming here and talking to us. We're still listening and we still care.
Love and Hugs, Martha
I have read and reread your post.
And I honestly want to say "I just do not know what to do to ease your pain" I am at times feeling down myself, and get so poed at GOD and I do honestly at my husband on days for leaving me DANG IT ANWAY.
I am going to be 62 this April, I feel at this age I am probably not going to be with any other man to be a partner with. My Mom is 85, my MIL 96 so I am going to probably be around a long time.
God will be the decision maker.
Moral of story: Let GO Let GOD, Let your Guardian Angels protect you.
In the meantime let us help you....
Yes, we are here to talk you out of any decision that causes you harm - except bunging jumping off the Empire State Bldg thats ok
Rock climbing at Yosemite ??? There are things to do in this life...
FOR NOW What can we do to give you some hope?
Can you get away from your place for awhile? A best friends place, out of town away from the stagnant stuff for awhile,
something to push and jump start your soul again towards those steps you need to feel some ray of hope and sunshine?
I have a large place - get a plane ticket to Seattle I will pick you up...we are cold here, but I have lots of things to work you to keep you warm.. OH and a fire....We can build a bonfire, roast marshmallows, make hot coca, tell ghost stories...
I am an honest person - crazy at times - and I search for those rays of sunshine too.....Please get away and get some help...there is help out there -
heah we care and we need to give you something to do...
I want you to know from a good friend of mine when I was feeling like I wanted to committ suicide - his Mom did, he told me how it affected him deeply - No matter what material things you can leave them the type of deep sorrow you will afflict with suicide will never be made up by any of it....
GOD I feel for you......I am so sorry you are so down....
when I lost Greg, I wanted to end it all too. I thought about how much better off everyone would be without the shell of a woman who was left here, without him, without his love. I like you had a very hard road. all my life I was not loved, i was not respected, I was not LISTENED to. My first marriage as you know was horrible at its best. I dodn't KNOW WHAT LOVE WAS, LET ALONE FEEL ANY LOVE.
Then I thought I'd gotten my miracle meeting Greg. He was all the things that I had been silently praying for when I didn't think I knew HOW TO PRAY. bUT HERE WAS MY MIRAXCLE. wE FELL IN DEEP LOVE WITH ONE ANOTHER. mY KIDS HAD HIM, i HAD HIM, wE FINALLY HAD.....LIFE.
i DO KNOW WHAT YOU ARE saying. I have felt it MANY times my friend.
My last journal entry in December was the Title of "Clarence I'll be needing you alot more this month". See Clarence from that old movie means a great deal to me. The idea of him. And I think you need him now also, so I'm GIVING him to you my friend.
EVERY person on this earth impacts so many others live while here. I can't tell you how always, but i CAN tell you they DO. YOU DO. Your kids WILL NOT be better off without you. all the money in the world does not take the place of YOU I THEIR LIVES. DONT LEAVE them here. they WILL NEVER get over this hurt. They will carry the questions, the never ending....thought that this is THEIR Fault. I KNOW THIS My dad DID this and I have NVER gotten over that feeling of loss my friend...or the GUILT. do NOT do this to them!!!! PLEASE I am telling you what I FEEL EVERYTIME i THINK OF MY DAD AND NOT REACHING FOR HELP. wHAT COULD i have done to stop this! don't write those notes PLEASE. I know how you love your family! They will NOT be better off without you! THEY WILL HURT FOR THE REST OF THEIR LIVES, and I KNOW YOU WILL NOT DO THAT, BECAUSE OF YOUR LOVE FOR THEM!
cALL ME. tALK TO me talk to someone ANYONE. Please my friend. You are IMPORTATNMT to them and TO US.

I don't know why God took away our loves, no one knows until we see it through heavens eyes and that won't happen until whoever is up there decides it's time.
Joe clearly loves you and you love Joe. So, use that love to help other people not loose their loves. Join the anti-cancer causes because this pain, this horrible pain should not be allowed to propogate and if you take your own life, you let that horrible disease win. Even if it's not active in you, you are letting it destroy you still. Would Joe want you to do that? I don't think he was so selfish to want that. I know Connan wasn't and he died of the same da*n disease.
Suicide is so against the natural order of God's design for us...I so agree with everyone else here!
I am fortunate that when Mike left me here, he left me in a comfortable position- one to pay off the house, set up an annuity and make improvements that were needed here. BUT!!!!! I would gladly trade all the comforts afforded by his life insurance policy to still have him by my side...and I think your children would feel the same...if we truly love our families, we don't even think about what they would "leave" us if they died...love isn't like that!
Your children and grandchildren will be devastated. I have heard from many people who have lost family members to suicide and it is such a selfish act...and one that when you are this serious about it you need to get yourself committed into and ER and evaluated right away. Don't le the lies of the enemy continue to fester in your thoughts....seek professional help NOW!!!
God be with you and just know that soooo many of us here would miss you and your friendship. "trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding...in ALL your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths"....peace tonight my friend....Jill
I hope you really take a long look at things and contemplate the fact that you have been left here for a purpose even if you don't know what it is. You obviously are a person of faith, have faith that God knows what He is doing, even when we don't understand it. Don't rob Him of fulfilling the purpose he left you here for. You are a precious thing to Him, and to your children. Think very hard about what losing you would do to them on an emotional level--you of all people understand loss and grief.
Hugs, my prayers are with you.
