I hope meeting new people will help me not feel so alone after losing my husband 5/17/16. But the truth is even in a group of people (my church family) I still have that "alone" feeling. Though I know God is with me always, I wish I could feel more. I even had a fellow from another church try to date me. I went a few times. He started getting desparatly attached and started talking marriage..it scared me away. Why? What am I so afraid of? I think it was too soon, and going WAY too fast for me. Yes, I know we aren't spring chickens or promised tomorrow but, I just wanted some kind of assurance and peace it was "ok" and I wasn't getting that. Anyhow, anyone who feels led to talk, feel free. I like reading all of your posts. God bless you all. Still cry without warning. But I'm trying to be strong for my family. God is SO good!

Little steps....
Alone, yes. It's been 3&1/2 years for me, some days are not as bad as others.
Crying comes, let it. There are triggers but in time we know how to handle them. Comments, well meaning, but until someone has walked in our shoes they don't know what we have experienced.
It takes time...
Life is a changing journey now intertwined with grief.

I told my pastor the other day that's just too painful to be in church sometimes. For me the whole family aspect is just too painful to be around. There has been a few parenting workshops at church so I haven't been in a few weeks.
I too thought I could just date and everything would fall in place but not so. Turns out I am not bouncing back so well. When they start talking seriously I freak out and run, not sure why so I am feeling as though I am going two ways at once, thanks for sharing.
