Your post reminded me of me. I still carry these feelings 15 months later. But I can tell you that over time I learned to handle this grief better on a day-to-day basis. It will not be as disabling. Reading helps, listening and trying to help others helps. Journaling your emotions help. Find some music that will energize you. Sometimes simply talking to her and asking for help helps. I can imagine talking to your daughter and encouraging her will help too. Try to reach deep into your sadness - recalling good memories with your wife - when you feel safe to do so. These memories will be painful at first, but if you can weather them it will be healing as you will be able to focus on the happier times that you have together.
