This community is dedicated to those who have lost a husband, wife, or partner. Anything is open for discussion here, with the hope that we can focus on grief, bereavement, life after loss, and continuing on after a great loss.
I have survived 6 yrs with the help of my Beautiful Memories, family , friends and this beautiful site where I know that I am not alone with my feelings even after 6 years. It's a hard journey, and you are just begining this journey. They say that time heals the pain, well, I believe that the pain of loseing a love one never goes away you somehow learn to cope with it. You just have to take one day at a time. Now that you have found DS you will get the comfort you need. All of us here are traveling the same road whether it be a few days or 6 years like me. There are so many wonderful people on this site that care and are here for you. Big hugs full of comfort, & love going your way.
All those things we had planned and it was our retirement to do things and etc etc you will think of those often at first, than I find I think of those things I now must do and want to do finally. I was never angry at people who were smiling esp. at couples I felt sad but I was angry at those who did not understand YOU can not be that smiling so soon -
It takes time and so many things to learn who you are now as that single person.....Some ups and downs but with no other choices you progress as you need to and feel you are ready to.
You will find you can be stronger than you every thought. It hurts I know but keep writing it helps here. Hugs
