It is so hard to acknowledge that I am part of this group. I'm a widow. My husband passed last Saturday. Buried him today. 3 small children. I can't even fathom how I am going to do this without him. I can't fathom that he is gone.

I am so sorry! I lost my fiancé exactly 12 weeks ago and today was the first day I could bring myself to going to the cemetery. I have 4 children that looked up to Shawn as a father figure. The reality of becoming a widow seems unreal I understand. Hugs to you!! Get your rest....I know that is extremely hard, but try.

I am so sorry for your loss!! God will help you through this. But it is truly one moment at a time. You will be on an emotional roller coaster. Hold onto anything that gives you strength at any time. My prayers go out to you and your babies.

Thinking of you, it sounds like a nightmare, try to ask your friends and family for help esp with the kids

I too am so sorry. I know how hard it is. I have grown kids but my youngest has Downs syndrome and even though he understands that is dad is gone he talks to him all the time like he is in the room with him. It breaks my heart every time. He sounds so happy to be talking to him. I know you can be strong! It has been a little over 2 months for me and I still cannot believe it!! Jeanne

July for me, still in a fog and trying to push forward, going through the motions. We never had children, I can't possibly imagine having children to care for also. This is a good place. I had never felt anything like this before, my friends, my family, tried to understand the emotions, but these people do understand. That helps a whole lot. Just to have people understand and are able to discuss it. Keep coming back sweetheart. This place helps.

I'm so very sorry. I can’t pretend to know how you’re feeling with three small children (mine are in college). My husband died suddenly 5 weeks ago and it still seems sureal. I hate the word widow and can't believe I'm one too. I take one day at a time and pray for strenght from God and my husband. Don't be surprised if you experience any physical effects (upset stomach, rapid heart beats, body aches, difficulty breathing, chewing, swallowing, hair loss..etc) they are normal reactions according to my therapist.

I lost my husband of 34 years in April, at times I still can't see how I will make it through the rest of my life without him, but I find the only way to do it is to just take one day at a time and try not to think too much about the future ahead.

I lost my wife of 35 years. We have a daughter together for 7 years. Sometimes I see her - I see myself crying uncontrollably. They were very very close and I wonder how can she leave like this leaving me and my daughter in this 3d world.

I am so sorry for us. We are left trying to figure out what to do next. My tears run down my face everyday like a river. I am so broken. He has been gone for 5 months and I still cry everyday. He was my world. He was my everything .

I feel for you! It is very difficult. My kids lost their dad when they were 8 & 10. They are my strength. Hugs to you.

I am so sorry for your loss. I was where you are 3 months ago. I know it is hard right now but remember to eat, sleep and drink lots of water. Seems like crazy advice but trust me you need some self care. Don't be afraid to reach out for grief counseling.
