I lost my husband one month ago from a Lymphoma. He was diagnosed in January 2017. Not even a full six months later and he died because his cancer was chemo resistant. I can't breathe today or stop crying. I've been okay for the last few weeks only crying here and there when thoughts or memories appear but today I woke with an overwhelming sadness and a need to see and hear him. I have some videos he took of our daughters when they were younger but he never talked much while taking them. It's heartbreaking. I can't play out wedding video because our vcr is now not working. Who sells those these days? Reading some of your posts helps me understand that what I'm feeling is normal but I don't want to be normal I just want my Jack to come home from one of his work trips and hold me again.

Today I feel grateful. Grateful for my dog Blue (Blue Jean Baby Queen, Prettiest girl I've ever seen). Grateful I'm still kickin'. Grateful I'm finally taking responsibility for my health. Grateful I own my home. Grateful for good friends and neighbors who watch over me. Grateful to God for His everlasting love and patience with me. Grateful I survived the 10 years since my wife of 30 years...
