This community is dedicated to those who have lost a husband, wife, or partner. Anything is open for discussion here, with the hope that we can focus on grief, bereavement, life after loss, and continuing on after a great loss.
Novemeber is also Lung Cancer Awareness Month.
So in Memory of my husband i am grateful for:
1. My wonderful children
2. My Precious 1 & only Grandson
3. My home
4. Plenty of food.
5. My sweet pets
6. My family
7. My water well is still working
8. My AC is still hanging on & cooling
9.My Dear son in law lets me drive his truck
10. That God always provides all my needs.
11. My job.
12. That there was once a Me & You
Thanks for sharing this idea of what to be thankful for, it is hard to be positive when at home alone and not having to carrying that brave face in public.

Well I will keep working on this list later.... I do notice that working is good for us, just like keeping up with daily stuff, just not at top of list of things that make us Happy...

Other things I am so thankful for:
1. My son and daugher-in-law who just left my house after taking down an old fence for me to make way for the new one to be installed Tuesday.
2. My grandson who is the love of my life now, age 6.
3. My dog and cats who love me as I am.
4. My house that is warm in the winter and cool in the summer.
5. My church pastor and friends who are so thoughtful of me.
6. My health (not perfect, but I can still get to the trough!)
7. Reliable vehicle.
8. Born in and living in America.
9. My eyesight which is a real treasure!!
10. My wooded property that I love.
There are many more. I am thankful for early mornings and beautiful sunsets, for the birds, and all wild animals that wander in or over my property!
Wow! I feel better already!!!!
I am so grateful to have a daughter, SIL, son, DIL, and two beautifil granddaughters. One graduates HS in June and starts college in the fall.
A wonderful man who loves me
A dog who is with me in good times or bad
A warm home filled with all I need
A church family and many friends old and new
My health is better than others I pray for
And most important I have a strong faith that whatever happens there is one above that has a plan for good.
1~ I am thankful for being able to move out of the trailer we lived in that was falling apart to a place to a nice place with much better living conditions.
2~All of our kids, Richard, Danny, Michelle, Charlene, Tobias, Rebecca, Olivia, Shelby, and Paula. Three of which are not our biological children but we felt like they were and still are.
3~ For friends who come by the just swap howdys!!
4~ For living on this side if the Navasota River again. I am home!
Each day I will add to this list. I like this.
1. My grandchildren and daughter
2. My 2 step-sons who still consider me Mom
3. Very close and loving friends, including those I have met on DS.
4. A nice apt.
5. My cat Moofa who loves me in spite of myself
6. A working car that also has sentimental value
7. Just enough money to keep the bills paid if nothing else.
8. Learning to be independent and also to not be afraid to speak up for myself.
9. Most importantly, a wonderful husband who left too soon but taught me true love.
I am grateful for:
1, My wonderful daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter
2. My DS friends who supported/support me through one of the worst crises of my life
3. Knowing what true love feels like and my dearest Darrell who taught me that
4. Sunshine, rain and growing things
5. The (Pacific) Ocean within arms' reach
6. Good health
7. Ample food
8. A comfortable home
9. Living in a breathtakingly beautiful area, surrounded by Nature
10. My computer and the internet which help me keep in touch with the rest of the world
11. My telephone which also helps me keep in touch with the rest of the world
12. Being an American and allowed so many freedoms and those who dedicate their time and lives to ensure me those freedoms

6. Thankful to have a job, medical and dental coverage.
7. Thankful to be able to bring my husband home from overseas to be with the family.
