I became grandma again on the third of March little Chet was born. Well, he's not so little! 9lbs. 8 oz. He looks much like his older sister only not as much hair and it isn't as dark. Our first grandson. Oh my , I still say "our". He is absolutely perfect in every way. This is so bitter/ sweet as my husband is not here to share in this joy. I so want to believe he is watching from above as I know how he loved his two little grand daughters so. And so, I guess life goes on doesn't it? I still cry everyday, and the hurt is always there and none of this will probably ever change. And I am ok with that. The loneliness and aloneness can be so overwhelming at times. Nothing stays the same does it? The changes I've been through these last 10 plus months just blow me away. I never thought I would make it this far, and I still have a long way to go. But because of my friends, family, pets and all you wonderful people I am still pushing forward. I am so very blessed to have had him in my life for 40 years. Everything I am or have or love is because of him. It was just way too soon. I will post some pics of the newest family member. Hugs, Love and Peace to all, Michele

A huge congratulations for the little one. Your husband is watching. Since our souls come from the Father, your husband has probably already met his new grandson before he left heaven to come into your family. Your right the circle of life continues just as it will be our time some day as to make way for the new ones to move forward.
Thank you for sharing something for us all to smile about.
Peace, Tim
Nice size baby.
About six months after my mother passed away my only child (who had always loudly declared she wanted no children) announced she was having a baby girl. I remember wishing, as everyone was passing her first great grand child around, that I could have seen my mother holding the baby. She would have been so proud. It is bittersweet.
Now, with that same grandchild, every moment with her is tinged with grief that her grandfather isn't watching her grow and learn. She has been slow to learn to talk- and is just now getting the confidence to say things. Her attempts to pronounce things can be so sweet. She says "yellow" in such a sweet way. I wish her grandpa could hear her!
I can't wait to be in his arms again and talk about all the things that have happened since he passed. Every new thing that happens, I think, "What would he say about this?"
I know you were waiting patiently for your beautiful grandson, Chet, to arrive.
It's always bitter-sweet when good things are happening and we want our Beloveds to "be here" for them.
I'm glad you are settling in to this "New Normal" life.
It's good to think, your beloved, Gary, is enjoying, this special moment too.
Take care, big hugs from Sandra
