Widows & Widowers Support Group
This community is dedicated to those who have lost a husband, wife, or partner. Anything is open for discussion here, with the hope that we can focus on grief, bereavement, life after loss, and continuing on after a great loss.
I'm working really hard to move forward, and keep going, but still my heart feels heavy at times, and tears come, mainly at night when I'm missing him the most.
But today my tires needed air. I never had to put air in them because Marc always took care of it for me. He'd just say, "Your tires are a little low-- i'm going to put some air in them." And off he'd go.
So today I asked a neighbor guy to show me how to do it. I started crying when I said I didn't know how, because Marc always did it. The young neighbor was so sweet. He just came in my car with me, and we went to the gas station, and he showed me what do do.
I'm finding that we have to reach out to people and ask for what we need and want...
I am sorry for your loss, but glad you found the rest of us.
Love and Hugs,
Martha
Food shopping; filling the car with gas; getting the car serviced; catching a spider; taking out the trash; making the morning coffee; repairing stuff; listening when I'm hurt; holding my hand; a shoulder to just lean on; snuggling; fixing the cable box; kissing my neck; soothing my hurt feelings and on and on.
There is a BIG, BLACK HOLE where he used to be!
