After Dad passed, the first thing Mom and I did was get the lock box, which when opened was empty. Mom was speechless.
For whatever reason we started to fish through his dresser drawers. Didn't get past the top one, for there were bank sleeves by the abundance, each holding cash.
By the time we finished counting, Mom had a whopping $10,000. Lucky they were never robbed.

It must be a guy thing. I used to put money back that my wife didn't know I had, just for emergencies, It's also a good idea here in Florida to have cash in case of hurricanes because they shut down the ATM's
