One night before Halloween Greg had bought one of those singing candy dishes for the kiddies. Motion activated. He set it one night not known by any of us. See mike used to lucrk around corners to get a rise out of Greg, suprising him, and the boys would laugh and laugh, well this night Greg has set that candy dish turned out the lights, and we went to bed. He knew mike would be down for a snack as he always was at about 1 am as all young men are! He came down the stairs, turned on the light, and the candy dish went off. Mike SCREAMED like a girl, ran up the stairs and I don't think he hit one of them! lol He NEVER tried to 'surprise Greg again, and they both got a good laugh from it, FOR YEARS!
THANKS FOR THAT MEMORY!!! I'll have to tease Mike about it!! HUGS Diane
Miss it all so much.

But on a lighter note.....we used to own a comedy club, which was right up his alley. He was not a performer, we were the business side of a partnership. Our partner was a comedian, as well as a mail-order minister. When we got married we chose a quaint, little chapel, high in the Rocky Mountains in a "ghost town." The event was VERY casual and the invitation even stated "shorts required." Hubby went fishing that morning and wore those same shorts to the ceremony. Our partner presided over the ceremony and made the event comedy themed, unknown to us until that afternoon. The guests wore red foam noses, and the minister dressed as Groucho Marx. At the end of the ceremony, instead of saying "you may kiss the bride" he said "you may pie the bride" and handed out whipped cream pies. Without even a one second hesitation, I was pied! and in shock. When I gathered my wits I got him better than he even imagined. The day and the years just kept getting better. Our friends and family are still talking about it. His legacy is laughter, and he still brings me smiles.
Warning: Do not read any further if you are easily offended. It is funny but probably not for everyone. I apologize if Nick & I offend anyone here.
Due to bladder cancer, Nick had to have his entire bladder removed. They took a small portion of his small intestine, attached one end to the 2 ureters that extended from his kidneys. This was put through a hole in his side. For the rest of his life he had to wear an ostomy bag to replace his bladder. He also wore a leg bag at work so he didn't have to go empty the smaller bag so often. When he did empty the bags he would just hoist his leg & foot up onto the urinal and undo the spout that was hidden under the long pant leg. Needless to say most men do not need to use the urinal in this fashion. Usually both of their feet remain on the floor. One day a man who worked in the building asked him, "I have wondered about you! What are your doing when you do that?" Nick laughed and replied, "Well, when you have something that long it is easier to just run it down your pant leg than to double it over."
Thanks,
Paula
Paula thanks for the memories.

One day when one of the workers was out on a smoke break, he put a tiny feather on her computer keyboard. When she returned and saw the feather, she asked where it came from. Joe said a bird had got trapped inside the building. She continued to look up every so often, looking for the bird. A few days later, Joe put another, bigger feather on her keyboard. When she came back and saw it, she said DID THE BIRD FLY OVER HER DESK? and everyone answered YES, IT DID. SORRY YOU MISSED IT. Joe pulled this on her a couple more times. She was a sucker. She never figured it out and no one ratted on Joe! It was SO funny!
