I am overwhelmed with the sadness I feel right now. I told myself last night that I would make this week more productive. Our house is a mess and I wanted to start cleaning today. After my husband died, I just put all of his things in his closet and I wanted to start sorting through his stuff and re-organizing the pile of papers sitting on our dining table. But when I began working on that, I start crying again. My heart hurts when I think of him so I want to keep busy yet I cannot stop thinking of him still. Yesterday, I went out with the kids the whole day just to get my mind off things. On the drive home, I was dreading coming back to our house full of his memories. I want to be happy or at least pretend in front of our kids because it saddens them whenever they see me crying. Our house feels so empty and the silence just reminds me that he will never come back.

I also read recently that it was good to not try to hide your grief from your children and grandchildren. That we all need to heal together and in our own ways.
I miss him so much I could never erase his memory from my heart. I wish I could bring him back and talk to him, have him hold me, and sing a song to me. He was such a great entertainer. I miss his performances and all the fun we used to have traveling and meeting new people when he performed. Even though I have gotten rid of most of his stuff, I still have all those memories.
My prayers are with you( cyber hugs)
