This couple of months are full of bad news and sadness. My last vacation with my late husband was in March so a lot of memories flooded my mind. My co-worker/friend's funeral was on Thursday, another co-worker's father just passed away. Now my daughter is telling me she is getting a divorce. She won't tell me the reason. My son-in-law seems shocked and we both cried. They have two young boys that didn't know what's going on yet. One of them asked his daddy: Why do you have tears? I quickly left the house because I couldn't stop crying. I just told the boys I have a cold. I could only come here to express my sadness. If my husband was here, he would have talk some senses to her. Miss my husband so much, his tenth anniversary is coming up in a couple of months.

I did the dumbest thing today. I charged my earbuds, unplugged the block and put the block in my little bag instead of the earbuds. I wasn't happy about that when I got to the gym. What a dummy!

I invited Bill to have dinner with me last Sunday. He wasn't willing to drive 7 hours to mid Michigan and teased me with his beautiful ribs!!! So, of course I ate alone and had cedar salmon

I can completely relate to how you are feeling. There have been so many situations that have occurred since John's passing that I would have depended on him for support. Without them, we feel so alone. It makes such a difference in how you can accept life's challenges when you know someone else is right there with you. Several years after John passed, I finally sought out the help from a grief counselor. I feel so fortunate that I have had him to help me through multiple family deaths, including my two brothers and sister, my son's addiction problem, and other major life issues. I don't know if you have ever gone this route; but maybe a therapist could help you, too. Just a suggestion. So very sorry that your daughter has decided to divorce her husband when it's not a mutual decision and there are young children. I know you are sick over this; just wish there was something I could say that would help you. I am hoping someone else responds to you that might be of help. It seems as if this site is so very different than when I joined years ago, not very active with responses after a posting. Hugs to you.

Thank you for your comforting comments.
Have a nice day
The parents are all gone now, and Hubby, too. Neighbor's kids are grown, a couple of them are married and have their own children.
