But I made it...then took the ferry back(open water phobia), Where we were talking and lost all signals. Just as the boat edged lake Michigan's Bermuda triangle...
It was just as long, but calmer scenery once I hit my side of the lake. I hope to do it again soon before it gets too icy! But first school.
Like Las Vegas or heading someplace warm in the winter, like a beach in Florida.
I live in L.A. but am willing to travel. How's that for brave? Traveling was something we always loved to do together.
I can't believe I'm a widow.......isn't he just on a business trip or off camping with his brother?
I'm not ready for this new life, I don't think!

Daily Strength will not organize a get-together, nor take any part in it or responsibility, etc. They can't. There are several hundred thousand members of DS - yes, that many - so it is impossible for DS to do it.
Some folks plan elaborate group meetings, some are more informal and small scale. I have met a few members in person. And of course, the first one I met I am now married to! LOL! Not all of life's surprises are bad surprises. :)
Personally, I am now living in England - isn't that halfway between everywhere??? I think it's halfway between Roz and Val's place isn;t it?? Just kidding... although if anyone is going to be in the neighborhood, I would be happy to see you. If my house sells (keep praying) I will need to return to Florida for that, and I hope to get to California see my family there, too, and would be happy to meet up with folks if possible.
Group Skype might be a possibility, too.
Please remember that not everyone can travel or can afford to travel. And before you have a bunch of strangers come to your home, exercise some caution. A public location is a good idea, just in case.
Did you know that you can search the members list for our group by State and Country? That might help you determine who might be within driving distance, etc. Just a thought.
Love and Hugs,

I would be interested in Las Vegas, however it's extremely HOT in the summer months.
My son and daughter-in-law just came back. It was 102 degrees, and the pools were so crowded they couldn't find lounge chairs.
I can't speak for everyone, but I know I wouldn't enjoy walking around in that heat.
Maybe early Spring? March? April?
