Yesterday I actually found myself smiling at how neat and clean the house looked.....nothing out of place, everything where I left it that morning. Weird!
What I hate most is; if I don't go buy it at the store, I don't have it in the house.....that's really weird for me.
I lost my "hunter/gatherer!"

I'm planning to be along for New Years by choice. I'm looking forward to a quiet evening, cuddling up with a good book. Later I will watch old movies, preferably Fred Astaire. I'll have some wine or juice to welcome the new year and go to bed. I do have a dog, but only got her last year. My husband passed five years ago
It is said that there is a difference between solitude and loneliness. I certainly believe that. With solitude you are alone, but loneliness is not a part of it. Instead it is a positive time to reflect on things, to embrace God's blessings. Sometimes when I'm alone I feel closest to God and look to Him for special guidance. In short, loneliness is about sadness, perhaps even despair. But solitude is about enlightenment.
Suggestions Read , take a walk with your new dog, join a group of fellow dog lovers, learn a new language, or just learn something new--cooking classes, craft classes, etc. Get a hobby. Have a spa night.
There's lots to do. You may find yourself enjoying it.
