I am just so upset right now. Looong story short, I have not turned off my husband's phone. I have always kept his phone right by my computer and would charge it about once a week (just not ready to shut his phone off just yet). I noticed today that it wasn't there so I checked with my kids and no one has seen it. I then went online to Verizon's website and seen that since Thursday morning the phone has been used. My son looked at the numbers being called and turned white.
He had a "friend" here Wednesday night (the same "friend" that went with him to get the tattoo in memory of Rob). Jake sent the kid a text and he of course denied it. When Jake told him I was calling the police unless he returned it, he admitted (in a text message) to using it but said he left it where it was.
Needless to say, I called the police. He took all the information as well as the copies I printed with the listed phone numbers under Rob's recent actifvity. He asked me if I wanted to press charges and I just broke down. All I want is my husband's phone back!!!!!!!!!!!!! If this punk refuses or denies, then yes, I will press charges. The cop said it would be a 1st degree misdemeanor .. I don't really care; I just want the phone!
Jake feels horrible - he's known the kid about a year and met him through a mutual friend.
I just really needed to vent to my friends here .. only you all know how it can feel. Rob has only been gone 4 months .. this is making me so sick!
Thanks for letting me rant - pray that this scum kid comes clean and turns over Rob's phone!

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...

So sorry that you have to deal with this! I know your son feels awful about it too.
I didn't turn my husband's cell off, mainly because it was under contract and would have cost me $400 or so. So, I gave it to my dtr and my son-in-law still has it. I kept them on it, until the contract was up -- 11 months later, but, my dtr wanted the number changed. She said they couldn't use that phone and call someone with her dad's number showing up. So, I did get the number changed w/o cost. I didn't want to see his number pop up either. After the contract was up, my dtr put it on her contract. She had a phone, but they really needed 2, one each. That's the reason I gave it to them. My other kids and spouses had a cell each, so didn't need it. I certainly didn't need 2. However, Yes, it did feel strange to hand over his phone to someone else. They kept all his contacts, just in case they ever needed any of his buddies' numbers. SAD isn't it?
I hope you get the phone back from this kid!
