So much sadness. So many tears. I want to change that so for the next year I vow to watch, read, listen to at least one comedy routine a day. I got the idea watching Betty White on SNL last night. I just watched the first ten minutes but she made me laugh. And I thought, why not laugh once a day?

Care to join me?

It doesn't have to be something that will take hours. 1 minute, 2 minutes, 5 hours. Just try to enjoy the moment.

We watched the old movie "Odd Couple" (with Jack Lemmon) a few months ago because I remember seeing it years ago and my husband laughing a lot at it. It was funnier than I even remembered it. I think I'll rent it again.

You're going to think I'm nuts with this one. I was channel surfing a few weeks ago, and "Witless Protection" is on - this has got to be one of the most stupid, inane movies ever. And I laughed my ass off. Maybe I'm turning into a redneck, lol, finally - after living in the south for 18 years.

Thinking about the Odd Couple reminded me of another Jack Lemmon film: The Out-of-Towners. I remember telling my mother that I was sick and wanted to stay home from school. I did and spent the morning watching this movie. I wanted to laugh so badly, but didn't want my mother to know that I was feeling that good, so I held it in.

A really funny film, at least back in the 60s it was.

Speaking of old shows. I laugh everytime I watch reruns of the Golden Girls. It's a deal, I will watch or listen to 1 funny thing a day.Hug, Donna

I love Fraizier too. My husband is the one that got me hooked. I would never have watched it if he hadn't recommended it.

I love stand up comedy! Jeff Dunham is the funniest! He has about 5 different dummies...he is a ventriloquist (sp). I laugh so hard my ribs hurt and my daughter took me to see him live once.

I just finished watching clips of Betty White on Hulu. SNL hasn't been that funny for a long time though I must admit the humor was in a pretty raunchy direction, I did LOL a few times...

AFV (America's Funniest Videos) - I never liked watching that show - but I've found myself watching it for 2 months now. It was the only show I could watch while my wife was in the hospital. Got me through somehow - short attention span comedy I guess.

Last movie we saw together was 'It's Complicated', we both found it so funny on many levels - I suggest that as a watch. It's on DVD now.
