I'm so upset, sitting here eating a cake and crying. How could my father say something so cruel. To tell me that my husband didn't want to be around me. Oh, God, it's a test of faith for me.

I imagine that your "love" of your father when he is having a good day...would cause you difficulties should you completely walk away...but I would certainly limit and control the amount of exposure I subjected myself to...and if it wasn't a "good" day for/with him...I would excuse myself and it is perfectly within your right to let him know you will no longer tolerate being treated like this.
