I have a $25 gift cert for Barnes and Noble. I am going to get the Long Island Medium's book because I am into that right now and wonder if anyone has a suggestion for another. Lately I have been depressed and anxious and worried about getting a job. I am still in grief about my Fiance Stephen but am just a mess right now. One book was What are you afraid of? that I was looking at. So if anyone can suggest a book for someone who is grieving, depressed anxious and worried that will give me hope, Your suggestions would be greatly appreciated. QP

I have recommended this book before. You read a short passage each day an it addresses various aspects of the grieving process and provides insight on how to deal with it. It really helped me. It is called "Healing After Loss, Daily Meditations for Working Through Grief" by Martha Whitmore Hickman.

I am reading " don't let death ruin your life" by Jill Brooke. It is a pretty good book.

"Seven Choices - Finding Daylight After Loss Shatters Your World" by Elizabeth Harper Neeld, PhD. Still the best grief book I have read. I am currently working my way through her subsequent book "Tough Transitions - Navigating Your Way through Clhallenging Times" and it is proving to be helpful, too. But definitely "Seven Choices."

I have read approx. 20 books on grief and loss and surviving the loss of your spouse and by far the best one...(which I have read about 5 times at different points in my journey) was 7 Choices....which Martha mentioned. The book goes over the stages and the years and what the road looks like...that's why I have read it over and over as I moved into the next stages through the years. When I first began reading, I couldn't even "think" long enough to read more than a couple lines at a time.
