I also want this holiday to be over!
I don't mind my alone time now just to think and let the tears flood if
They have too.
We are really blessed to have each other to reach out to,when others just don't understand.
Each and every one of you is special to me, I really mean that.
Love to all, Sandra
SJ's brother and wife spent last eve with me. Actually made it worse for me emotionally. I'm trying to keep my positive attitude but today it's not an easy thing to do. I know the feeling of being so alone even when others are around. Others seem to magnify the emotions and increase the waterworks. I gave Jerry many items of his sisters's just to get it out of the house. I have the memory and do not need things sitting around that upset me. I'm building a new life and that is where I want my focus to be, looking forward. The past is over and I do not want to relive it. I'm taking my memories and moving forward. Today after Jerry left the vortes of my mind kicked into full speed and started playing with my head. Stop already! I like most of you do not like being alone and today just makes it harder to cope. I'm invited to the neighbors later where they will have 9 kids but I will still be the stranger in the room. They love me coming down but my foe for today is myself! I'm my own worst enemy today! Peace be with all of you today! Dewman
Love your butterfly tattoo . . something to remember, butterflies are all about "transformation". Some of we here are still in a cocoon of transformation, about to transform and awaiting our new birth. Birthing pains stink, but life does go on for we that are left behind.
We still have a purpose and reason for being here. Don't give up . . . this grief will pass and you will find brighter days and rainbows ahead.
xo, Dayna
The first it seems that so many people were "expert" on how I should fee or what my husband would want me to do.
Nothing made me feel better. I didn't think I could survive.
On this my second Christmas, I went to the movies and had dinner with a friend, another widow. I'm sad and lonely, but the sharp pain of last year has dulled into an ache I can live with.
Finding this site helped me. We need to find our own strategy for coping, once the complete shock of our loss abates somewhat.
Thanks to others here who have shared their thoughts and feelings, I'm better today.
