I am so sorry for your loss. I cannot imagine what you are going through. You found a great place to share, vent and lean on others. So Very sorry...you sure have had a lot heaped on your shoulders in the blink of an eye. If you mean help financially and health insurance, I would try SSI. Childcare sharing if you need might be something to check into...... just mom's helping mom's and little or no cost. Usually through church people who do handiwork can be found to make those bumps easier. I would also check with a Womens Resource center in your area for help with making it through the pregnancy. Yes, they usually deal with broken families, but they have their fingers on resources, too many to mention including free legal if necessary. God Bless and prayers for you, Molly

I am sorry for your loss, what a tragic event. So young and with a pregnancy of twins of very wanted children. Your pastor and Grief Share will help. Only time will help in coping with his death. This community is full of support and welcomes you. It is an avenue to express yourself fully and be understood by so many who share in the common bond of grief. We have learned, through time, to be thankful for our blessings and to focus on them as much as possible. I am sure in your pregnancy that you must avoid stress as much as possible and you have been put in a situation where stress and grief are a way of life for a long while, This is where focus on your positives will help. Pray for strength, the safety of your babies and peace to fall upon you.

I also gave birth after my husband died. If you have parents that can be with you at the birth, it will help. My dad was there for me and I am so greatful. Your church can offer you a lot of support, and depending on where you live, there may be some group for pregnant women...just so you can be around people. I went to a support group and did not have much luck with it. They were all older and the idea of a younger widow with a new baby in tow did not make them comfortable. Reach out here, because there are some of us here walking in your shoes and we are glad to help.

I agree with all these posts. I just want to add my supreme sympathy to you for the situation you are now in. However, as posted above, the support of others - family, church, support groups wil help you survive this so terribly hard time of your life. I wish you the very best in your future. We here care!

I am so sorry, so sorry, your loss is almost incomprehensible to me. Your Pastor and support group are very important. How about your family? Another resource you might consider, although I am not sure how to reach out to it. The wives of servicemen killed in Iraq and Afghanistan. Most are younger like you, many with children and tragically many pregnant. I know the services do a lot for them - at first. There are a number of non-DOD military widow support groups, here are a couple of links:

I can't imagine loosing a spouse at such a young age and especially being pregnant. Thank God you have the babies to focus on. This will help. There is no quick fix. Each person gets through this in their own way. You have found a good place at DS. We all understand your pain and disbelief.

I'm so sorry about your husband - you have so much to deal with. I would also try looking to see if there are any support groups for widows and/or younger widows too. I'm starting one next Tuesday that is for widows 55 and under. I'd like to meet people in the same boat I am. I went to Griefshare about 6 months after my husband died and I have to say I almost felt worse. I was the only one who had lost a husband - for most it was a father - one person a sister - and every week everyone talked about their husbands. I hope this one works out for you. Keep us all posted regularly on how you're doing.

Let us help you through anything we can. It is unimaginable to me, what you are dealing with. I am sorry that you have to go through at all.
I have only been a member here for about a month, my husband passed away 2 months ago. The people here have helped in ways they will never know. I know that someone here is in the same situation and feels the heartfelt pain, or can tell me that they have made it and so will I.
You can write about ANYTHING!!! Vent, scream, cry, laugh, rejoice, tell stories of your life, your past, your future. We want to hear your voice.
