It is understandable that going to the cemetery and church was hard and very emotional. Even so, be proud of yourself that you went. Roxanne

New beginnings of everything and it all feels so weird. Never the same. Making it through holidays and days are accomplishments. I wrote journals and soon i am going to read them. I even did voice recordings, and i heard one. I wanted my own home..it isn't really a home yet but it is mine and i can do what i want here..no negative vibes. No one looking at me as though i was garbage because i was grieving for my husband. I allow myself to feel here now and am getting my dignity back again ever so slowly but i feel it .( Hugs)

Shelda, did you move out of your big house? Yes, there are many "new beginnings." I find that I don't volunteer as much information now about what has happened. It is very tempting to write and send out letters telling everyone I am fine now (which I'm not) and to not feel guilty for not coming around to check on me - or not calling or texting. Even though the Bible does say to visit widows in their afflictions. We are broken, and yet no one wants to deal with our situations. I guess it causes them too much discomfort. Even my closest girlfriend asks me why I'm unhappy. Duh...

Grateful I survived the 10 years since my wife of 30 years...
