I don't know how long we are going to have to worry about it. We had a number of new (and not-so-new) government officials elected last night as well. My first priority is to protect what is mine and I guess I'll have to pray for the rest.

Should Have Elected Chuck Norris

I don't agree with everything Obama stands for, but like it or not, he's our new President, and we need to respect that and the office he holds. He'll have advisors and others around him to help guide his decision making. He can't just wave a wand for something and get what he wants. He has to put it before others to get approval. The deed is done, now we hope for the best.

By the way, the same could've been said if McCain had won, but the majority has spoken. That's what makes this a great country.

Exactly the point, hurtingx2. We get what we get, by majority and electoral college rule.


Sometimes you get brownies, sometimes you get a "stinky" substitute. But either way---ya have to deal or leave, right??

Personally, I voted for McCain, so am disappointed. On the other hand, I don't recall much "veteran care" talk from either one of them during the campaigning. Neither of them were my choice as candidates.

You are right, all that is now meaningless, . we have what we got. Much remains to be seen. I think if Obama gets too radical on some things, all hell will break loose. Whatever he does, he has to be very cautious as he is going to be in intense scrutiny.

I agree 100% with hurtingx2. It was a mojority. WE made the choice.
Here in Michigan, we are struggling to keep our heads above water (and many here have lost the the struggle) and everything Obama said about our economy and turning it around is "dead on". I'm going to continue to pray that our decision is in the best interest of ALL US citizens, but mostly for the recovery of the middle class that seems to be taking the brunt of the weaknesses in America. I'm struggling to keep my home so it's difficult for me to trust someone that owns 4 or more. That person cannot relate to the lower middle class. Please everyone, pray for the recovery of American dreams and values.

i agree with gravelady, it's hard to trust someone that's been rich and owns multiple homes. i just bought my 1st home and a new truck. i just pray that Obama doesn't sink people like me just how the titanic sunk! i'm not all about money tho. i'm about loyalty as well. and who ever is chosen to lead this nation should have respect for the troops that keep this nation a great nation! majority have spoken, but majority need a head check. i can't help it that i have a bad feeling about him.

Chuckie was too busy fighting crime with his rangers in Texas!!! But I think maybe some of us would have paid closer attention to his presidential speeches if he had been elected!!!!

I underdstand my friend. My heart begins bleeding on the 4th of every November and doesn't stop until after the 11th. I live in a small Texas town, my family around me and they don't even think of Veterans and their mother is a Vet.


All I can say is that there are people around who think of such things and I seek them out every year. I am glad you are here....and glad that I am too.

I voted for McCain also. This Obama seems strange to me. We dont know his past that well. He doesnt salute the flag or wear a pin. I wonder what he'll do when he is supposed to put his hand on the bible when he takes the oath of office?
There has already been several arrests of people planning to kill him and he's not in office yet!
