WV.....heard that on the news this morning and while I agree with him that this is a country build on religious freedom and if they want their Mosque they have a right to it, I do not agree that the spot chosen by them is a good one and done in good taste. Obama should be talking to these builders and asking them to erect this Mosque in Chicago, like next door to his house there.

Obama said Americans must separate Islamic terrorists from the overwhelming majority of peace-loving Muslims. "Our enemies respect no freedom of religion. Al Qaeda's cause is not Islam ---- it is a gross distortion of Islam, " he said. "These are not religious leaders ----- these are terrorists who murder innocent men, women, and children. In fact, al Qaeda has killed more Muslims than people of any other religion."

Al Quada and the Taliban are not the only entities that hang children, stone women, amputate, flog, and behead. Saudi Arabia is NOT Al Quada or Taliban. They are MUSLIMS .. plain and simple. There should be no mosque near Ground Zero in New York so long as there are no churches or synagogues in Saudi Arabia. The time for
double standards that allow Islamists to behave aggressively toward us while they demand our weakness and submission is over.

The proposed "Cordoba House" overlooking the World Trade Center site where a group of jihadists killed over 3000 Americans and destroyed one of our most famous landmarks - is a test of the timidity, passivity and historic ignorance of American elites. For example, most of them dont understand that Cordoba House is a deliberately insulting term. It refers to Cordoba, Spain the capital of Muslim conquerors who symbolized their victory over the Christian Spaniards by transforming a church there into the worlds third-largest mosque complex.

Today, some of the Mosques backers insist this term is being used to "symbolize interfaith cooperation" when, in fact, every Islamist in the world recognizes Cordoba as a symbol of Islamic conquest. It is a sign of their contempt for Americans and their confidence in our historic ignorance that they would deliberately insult us this way.
Those Islamists and their apologists who argue for "religious toleration" are arrogantly dishonest. They ignore the fact that more than 100 mosques already exist in New York City. Meanwhile, there are no churches or synagogues in all of Saudi Arabia. In fact no Christian or Jew can even enter Mecca. And they lecture us about tolerance.

If the people behind the Cordoba House were serious about religious toleration, they would be imploring the Saudis, as fellow Muslims, to immediately open up Mecca to all and immediately announce their intention to allow non-Muslim houses of worship in the Kingdom. They should be asked by the news media if they would be willing to lead such a campaign.

We have not been able to rebuild the World Trade Center in nine years. Now we are being told a 13 story, $100 million megamosque will be built within a year overlooking the site of the most devastating surprise attack in American history.

Finally where is the money coming from? The people behind the Cordoba House refuse to reveal all their funding sources. America is experiencing an Islamist cultural-political offensive designed to undermine and destroy our civilization. Sadly, too many of our elites are the willing apologists for those who would destroy them if they could.
No mosque. No self deception. No surrender.
The time to take a stand is now - at this site on this issue.

The argument being made now is that Muslims did not crash into the towers. Terrorist who are Muslims did. Why should all Muslims be punished for the actions of 11 men? My answer to them is simple..... put the damn building anywhere you want in New York City but not within 20 blocks of the Trade Center. If you have a problem with that then your motives for putting the building where you want to is politically motivated.

Not every loose dog running around a city has rabies .. yet in most cities, there are ordinances AGAINST stray dogs.

Not every Muslim is a bad person, but under present circumstances, Muslims need to be scrutinized for national safety. This relates to the building of this Muslim 'center' that near Ground Zero in that ALL 'large scale' activity of Muslims (all of them), in the US needs to be scrutinized because can't tell a BAD Muslim from a GOOD one by looking. Sorry GOOD MUSLIMS, that's the way it works.

Second to that, .. it is NOT a 'moral' question .. it is a 'position' .. RIGHT OR WRONG, that a MAJORITY of US citizens do not want the CENTER built there. WHY they don't is NOT IMPORTANT. It is no different from a MAJORITY of voters to NOT WANT a freeway going through their town. They don't WANT it for any NUMBER OF REASONS, .. not the POINT 'why'. The POINT is, they DON'T WANT IT, and in the US, the MAJORITY (usually) over rules the MINORITY .. for ONE reason .. there are more PEOPLE in the majority.

I have NO INTEREST in telling ANYONE 'why' I do not want the center built there .. don't have to, don't need to. ALL I need to do is say 'yes' or 'no', and I am saying NO.

Sorry, 'good Muslims', but that is what the BAD MUSLIMS have done to you .. (one of the things). We ALL 'pay a price' for what the 'BAD MUSLIMS' have done and WANT to do ... ALL OF US.

and I agree, none of them can prove where the source of the money is coming form, it's all really shady.

There are two reports coming out of this that upset me tremendously. The first is that the developer is over in the Middle East raising over $100 million to build this and that the target date for opening this Mosque Center is September 11, 2011. This is upsetting. They want to have this up and running on the 10th anniversary of the Towers coming down and 3000 Americans losing their lives. This is an injustice to those who lose friends, relatives, and loved ones on that fateful day. Yet the mayor of NYC sees nothing wrong with this. Is he insane, nuts, blind, or just plain unAmerican?

I DON'T HATE PEOPLE. I HATE WHAT PEOPLE ARE AND DO TO EACH OTHER. I SAY LET THEM BUILD IN THE DESERT THEY ARE USED TO IT. WHY PURPOSELY BUILD WHERE THEY ARE BUILDING? IT'S SIMPLY A SLAP IN THE FACE TO EVERY AMERICAN WHO HAS WORN THE UNIFORM OR THE PEOPLE THAT REALLY GIVE A DAMN ABOUT OUR COUNTRY.
