ok, am i the only one outraged by this?? that they are going to build a huge ass mosque right next to where the twin towers stood and the mayor is lovin the idea! and he's saying that building the mosque is supposed to "bring the people of NY closer together.....and the victims of 9/11 would have died in vain if we denied them this mosque"

Have read where there are lawsuits that are being filed on behalf of those who think this is a bad idea. There are those who think a Mosque going on Ground Zero is a bad thing and are going to file suits to block it. I just hope nothing is built until such time that all lawsuits are settled (could take years, even decades). But then again, if I am a property owner, I have the right to lease my land to whomever I want to or to build whatever it is I want to build.

Now I am 50% Jewish on my father's side and am so against this and feel outrage, anger and I would love to see this Mosque not built. The organizer says it would be a symbol of peace yet I can see hate and discontent. Maybe in 50 years after something new is built on the site of the Towers and the scars have had time to heal but 10 years is not enough.

You know, before i even read this article you posted, my bro, my mom and I were talking the other day after reviewing the evidence listed in this topic here plus more that we found, that maybe just maybe (God FORBID) Obama may have his hand in the 9/11 planning. We all know that Osama was only a fund raiser for the horrid event. He wasn't one of the master minds behind it.
But Obama Husein has been sending millions to Kenya to not only fund Sharia law, but apparently has been INSTRUCTING the guy on how to become a leader and LAY DOWN THE SHARIA LAW.

2 + 2 = Obama's possible plan for the US is Sharia law?? could it be that he figured maybe he could start with the most challenging state and city which is NY (hence the 17 floor mosque). so... who ever is agreeing to the building of this mosque is getting a nice lump sum of cash (like the millions that keep going to Kenya or who ever wants a trip to the Middle East).....

I just read tonight that the guy who wants to build the mosque only owns 1/2 of the property he wants to build on. The other 1/2 is owned by Con Edison.
