I am a 100% service connected disab. Vet from the army and things have been great for 3 years now, until this month. Being the first falls on a monday I expected to get my comp pay on the 26th or 28th like usual but still no money and it's christmas. I called the 18008271000 # and it says my records aren't available and wait for an agent but the office is closed until 830am est. any one else not get paid or do you think I am in trouble the VA is my sole source of income besides a small SSD income mid month. I am really worried since this is christmas...tim

with a prayer and my fingers crossed I logged in and it was there!!! I am still concerned why my file is unavailable at the 800 # though and am going to call them today. I just thank God there wasn't a hold up any longer though. WHEW! that was close.

Yeah we only get them early if the 1st fall on the weekend

I know that is true but back in sept the first fell on a monday and they paid to my debit card on the 28 (Friday) so I would have it by the 1st since the banks are closed on sunday. Have you heard anything about a cost of living increase ammount for this year?

Military benefits paid on the first were early in September because it fell on a government holiday---Labor Day, this year. Not being a smart-a$$, just trying to ease your mind.

LOL Probably NEVER happen again!!!

Sorry, haven't heard---active will be getting a 3.8% increase acccording to military.com.

(COLA) will be 5.8 percent, nearly 2 percent more than than the 3.9 percent 2009 military pay raise. This increase, which goes into effect of Dec. 1, 2008, also applies to SBP annuities, Social Security checks and VA disability and survivor benefits. Retirees will see this increase in their January 2009 checks.

very, what do you do if you didn't get it?

When I got my increase in August, they calculation table showed that increases strted in January.

LOL Won't be a whole lot for me, for sure, but every little bit helps. AndI am curious, is all.

Hmmm? Nana, I'm not sure what you are asking. This COLA will show up in January.

DUH!!! Thanks--I thought I was being slighted because I didn't get my COLA. Now I know that I have to be patient, just like everyone else!!!
