Hey When do we get paid ?

the first is monday do we get direct deposit monday or today I know on sat or sun it is on friday but I keep forgetting how the banks work for mondays?

Hey Nobody ,
I'm 50% "VA" right now (PTSD) and put a claim in for the newly A.O. recognized heart disease .
Anyway... I get my check mailed to me right now until I can switch it over to direct deposit. What makes you think that they will deposit yours early ? Monday is the 1st. and it falls on a week day.... I don't think that I ever got it early, but maybe I'm wrong... I 'll have to check my mail today... And.... I hope that you're right !! Ha-HA-

if the 1st falls on a weekend (no banking) direct deposit gets it early on the friday before. Sunday not being a bank day I can never remember if we get it on the friday or 0001 monday

Anytime your direct deposit falls on a holiday, Saturday, or Sunday, you will get it deposited on the last working day of the previous week. If Friday is a holiday and Monday declared a national holiday, you will get your money on Thursday. Same with Social Security.

and Monday, Nov 1 is not a holiday .. right?? If not, we should get a direct deposit on Monday ... or am I totally confused?

If Monday is the 1st and you get you money direct deposited on the 1st of each month, then your money will be in your account Monday morning, the 1st

that is what I thought Vet the bank gets the monies prior to the 1st because by law we have to be paid by 0001 on the 1st. the feds dont work weekends so the money would have gone at 2359 on the 29th my bank is on line and should deposit when they get it not two f'n days later!

All Government checks are mailed/deposited on the 1st or 3rd of each month unless it hits on a holiday or weekend......

VA check direct deposited last Saturday. SS SHOULD direct deposit today .. but according to my online banking it has not, yet.
