Hi my name is Jessica. I don’t know anyone vegan or know enough about it myself to navigate questions, so I sought out a support group.
I have been on a vegan diet for 6 days. I gave myself a week. (That was the least amount of time I guaranteed myself to stick with it). My goal in giving up meat and dairy was that it would help clear up my acne and I would slim down.
I’m optimistic, but my stomach is going crazy right now. Ok TMI, I’m super bloated and gassy. Is this normal? Does it pass once my gastric enzymes get used to the nutrition change? And how long does that take?
Because I’m bloated I’m heavier than I was when I started. My skin seems to be clearing up, but is that due to all the extra cups of water and tea I’ve been drinking? Just kinda feeling discouraged and in need of advice!
Thank you!!

EW.The skink caught by Dahlia two days ago remains hidden under our baseboards. WEon't come out for anything. I give up. I'll have to cope with the stink of dead skink which is likely its fate. Love Hubby but he...

Twenty-five years since 9/11 attacks on the US changed things (or not).Current NYC Mayor Mamdani has released a shi*-ton of files about the air quality as it was known to be by the Giuliani administration 20-plus years ago. Turns out, yes, they knew it was that toxic. And, since people of all faiths died that day, let's not go into that, please. They were firefighters, bankers, cops, cooks,...

I'm wondering what kind of veggies and fruit you are eating? Some people need to avoid gas irritants like broccoli, brusselsprouts, cabbage, plums, prunes, peaches, onions, garlic...... etc. I am one of those so I have been using the "low FODMAP" diet as a guide, but this is more tailored for IBS patients like moi. You may not have to go to that extreme. I hope you figure it out and are able to stick to the vegan diet like originally planned.
