Personally, I only eat a little bit of tempeh now and occasional organic soymilk, preferably the non-gmo kind. But I'm actually kind of tired of soy anyways and there was another study linking soy consumption to memory troubles later in life.
I don't trust Monsanto. They've got a long legacy of being unsafe and hiding the issues from the public and infiltrating the FDA.
Anyways, thanks for the info.
You might as well ask Coca-Cola if soda is good for you.
And his so-called "history" of soy as a health food is laughable, claiming it was all a result of the conspiracy of the soy industry. Last I checked soy has been widely consumed and considered healthy in China and Japan for about 2,000 years.
And guess which 2 countries have the highest life expectancies in the entire world? Japan and Hong Kong, 2 countries that have very high soy consumption.
And guess where does USA rank in life expectancy? 38th, right BELOW Cuba.
US spends almost 3 TIMES as much on medical care per person as Japan, yet has a much shorter life expectancy.
And what do Americans eat? The beef and cheese that this Mercola character is hawking on his website.
Btw. If I were to eat beef my first choice would be grass fed.
Nearly all bad press against soya can be traced back to the dairy industry who want us to believe that people MUST keep consuming dairy products. Soya is completely healthy and safe. Please see this excellent website for more information

It totally sets the record straight!
I did notice that there where still concerns over genetically
modified soy. So I think organic might be a good bet.
I think that Mpebbles has the best view- The truth lies somewhere in between
This we know for a fact though: US spends by far the most on medical care among all nations in the world, and ends up with one of the shortest life spans among all developed countries.
Everyone is of course entitles to their own opinions, but if you're going to give credence to propaganda from the meat & diary industry, you might as well do the same for the tobacco industry. Ask the CEO of Marlboro and he'll tell you tobacco isn't that bad for your health. Doesn't mean the truth lies somewhere in between what he says and that "tobacco is bad".
