I've had it in a burrito and in Thai curry. That's all my experience with it.
As like I take a can of soup and cut up the tofu into the soup and just heat the soup regularly and the tofu gets heated too.
One recipe told me to put BBQ sauce on the tofu and then cook it in the oven for 20 minutes and then turn it over and put more BBQ sauce on it and then cook if for another 20 minutes - and that is just nonsense.
We can eat both the BBQ sauce raw and the tofu without cooking, and so cooking only heats the sauce while the tofu absorbs nothing.
So put any flavoring onto the tofu and cook at 400 in the oven for ten (10) minutes and then it will be hot, and hot is all we need.
Put tofu into the microwave for 10 - 30 seconds and it will get hot.
People have to cook meat because meats need to be cooked to kill the germs, but tofu is just beans and so tofu does not need to be cooked.
have fun with your tofu. I only use sprouted tofu because it doesn't contain GMOs and it's easier to digest. Try marinating it in your favorite healthy bbq sauce, with fresh herbs and chopped garlic and ginger. Put it in the fridge for 24 hours and then bake it for 15 minutes. I add roasted red peppers on mine and then eat it over a nice garden salad with quinoa, walnuts and pumpkin seeds.. . It is heavenly!
LOVED the tofu waffles, yum!
Soft tofu and green onion cubed and fried in a sauce of oil, sesame oil, and soy sauce. Eat with rice!
