So mad at Xfinity! They're trying to charge me $115 per month for the same service I had been paying $50 the last four years. I took the equipment to UPS for shipping and cancelled my subscription today! Next door was a cookie shop called Crumbl. I had heard of it before but never went in until today. I don't need one more sugar fix, but maybe it will help with my sad) grieving heart....$15...

I know this is stupid, but after not being able to find a job after graduation for almost two years, I ended up just taking an online teaching job because I couldn't find anything in my field. I was trying to get out of teaching and I feel so devastated. I felt this crushing feeling when I signed the paperwork and when I was in the meetings. I wrote my thesis on available educational media choices in the USA in 2002...one side of me says age is factor...I am 54....
ive been told to volunteer thats nice but i dont have the financial means to do it. so, nobody should talk to me about working for free i got bills and car maintenance that needs to be fixed, so working for free is not on my mind. i notice companies arent hiring even if you have a degree or better yet no degree. all i did was (since i didn't work much) was obtaining my degree and the companies hate that answer. after i got my degree in may 2010, i started looking for entry level jobs. now, every entry level job says 1-2 yrs of exp or 2-3 yrs of exp which is not true i remember it being zero experience, starting from the bottom and go up.
well, every job i have applied for says not qualified or don't have enough experience. ive applied to over 100 jobs had 2 interviews during the 2011 holiday season was counting on one of the 2 interviews but never got it. been to interviews where the questions are just getting stupider and stupider.
been to every workshop/career center and they are just as useless as the fools on linkedin.com. no help, still talking about the good old days, and still giving out old job info that isn't working anymore. the state i live in the economy hasn't picked up at all and no, i am not relocating anywhere still takes money to pack up and move again don't talk to me about that either.
My recommendation for ways you can be helpful is to do what you can to increase the civility in the current work environment. To the extent you can share this with colleagues, do so.
