I've just looked at the pictures of some Trich members . . .I guess they are pictures of the actual Trichs, anyway, what I've noticed is that they all have hair. Not, spots of hair with bald spots . . . but all over hair. And I'm talking about the self-professed Trichs that have been pulling out their hair since before their 12th birthday, yet they have hair. Unless it is pictures of ppl they pulled off the internet just to be able to plug in a photo. Just curious . . . how do they still have hair? I pulled for years off and on and I am almost bald. What do these Trichs know that I don't?!?

My pic is really me too. Right now I have a thin bald spot on the top of my head and one really bad one on the bottom side underneath so my hair covers it. The whole front of my head is thin and I have to hairspray and comb it down so you can't see my scalp. When you've had trich for so long, you find ways to hide it. I will spend however long doing my hair so you won't be able to see my bald spots.

When I first started pulling at 13, my Mom thought that I had shaved the front of my head. There were times when I would get ready for school and just looking in the mirror would make me burst into tears.

You definately find ways to cover it up and make it look normal. I get really discouraged and I wish that I could have long THICK hair again. Actually a full head of hair.

I hide mine pretty well as most other people do. I style my hair in ways you cant see my bald spots and only pull from certain spots.

I don't remember the exsact age I started pulling. Probably around 3 or 4. I had bald patches as a child and my mom would do my hair in styles that would hide it. I still pull now but in a different way. Only one hair at a time from all over my head. Also I like run my fingers through my hair for like 20 minutes until I find a hair that I want to pull and I like play with it in my fingers and then I pull it out and then play with it after. It is pretty much impossible to tell that I have trich by looking at my hair.

I've pulled my hair since I was 3. I make a knot in the ends of my hair and then pull a clump (the knot) out. I have tons of broken ends, but I do not have bald spots and I'm able to get a haircut every month. My stylist just thinks my hair is prone to breakage and he suggested taking biotin (which I'm doing), but he doesn't know I have trich and neither does my doctor.

creativity. most people dont even notice someone with trich...for example, i actually don't pull hair from my head...i pull from my eyebrows, eyelashes, and arms. make up is great with hiding that and the hair on my arms is very light and thin, so its not even noticable.

i just don't get the same effect from pulling hair on my head...its just not the same :/

In all my pictures I'm either wearing a headband or a hat. I noticed the same thing about pictures on here. I thought, oh my God what is wrong with me, I barely have hair on the sides and its patches on the top, because I never pull long hairs.

I pull one piece at a time and I am quite selective about them, so this is what I look like.
