Transgender Support Group
This community is here to support and help the large population of transgender people. If you or anyone you know identify as transgender, this is the place to share your feelings and experiences and speak with others who are going through similar things in their lives.
Now I get it, your still young, and you haven't lived long enough to see my point of view on things. And with maturity you will also learn respect as you get older. Once you have lived half your life, and been through tons of tragedy, then you will understand how someone like me can be so cynical.
But word of the wise, next time, ask if you can be blunt with someone, before actually being blunt and disrespecting them.
And instead of spending all their time and money to helping to make the world a better place, they spend it trying to ruin our lives and make things difficult. A perfect example of that is gay marriage, for the longest time gay marriage was illegal in the whole country.
Honestly, I am getting pretty sick and tired of giving these people free rides, letting them walk all over us. I am at the point now where if I meet someone who has any attitude against who I am, they can kiss my ass, and I will fire them out of my life as fast as a speeding bullet.
You didn't deserve that to happen to Anne, none of us do! You know, when I got to this point in my life, I really thought things were going to be different from when I was kid. But I can see now that things will never change in my lifetime. Were still going to be discriminated against, hated, our rights challanged, the list goes on.
I live in a neighborhood where people know me. If I was to suddenly show up in long hair, makeup, girly clothes, their pitchforks would come out and then my life threatined, and then I would have to move out. Not that I want to stay in this dump I am in, but that sure would speed it up quicker!
And all these so-called churches that accept all manner of people is a crock of crap, I have never been to one single church that was progressive enough to accept all people. Why do you think the KKK was founded? They hated blacks, so their whole campain in life was to kill them and make their lives miserable.
Which is exactly what they are doing to the LGTB community right now. I am actually at the point now where I just feel like giving up on all this shit. Not that I can afford to transition anyways, I don't got a mommy who pays for everything.
When you grow up you realize that things in life arn't simply handed to you because you think you deserve them or want them. Thats crap, real life sucks, and getting through it takes a miracle. I know in my heart that I am a girl, but no need to shove it down the throats of everybody who knows me in real life, that just invites death threats and hate.
I am not in a relationship and frankly. it would take a lot for me to be in one for myriads of reasons but the most glaring is that I am so comfortable with my perfectly imperfect body that it freaks everyone out because my body is not what they are expecting to see.
That is not mentioning that I cannot seem to find anyone who knows how to have a healthy relationship,so there you have it.
I would rather be alone than dealing with someone else's issues that have nothing to do with me as a person but my being in their sphere brings it all up.
Believe you me, I get hit on all the time, I may not be the best looking guy in a room but I have been told I exude sexiness whatever that means, it could just be a line but I get hit on, nevertheless. So now what do I do? I just say, "Move along little doggie find an easier tree to mark"
Have a great day,
Wolf (FTM since 1987)
I recently had a classmate - who really knows nothing about me - begin trying to set me up with ladies to date - NOT at my request AT ALL. Simply took it on himself to try setting me up with people, thinking - he said - "just to see you happy". I explained that I'm perfectly happy as I am currently, and have no desire to get into a relationship at this time. That baffled him - he can't imagine someone being happy alone.
Granted, I have an amazing sex drive on T that I never ever had before - but I don't want to just hop in bed with whoever comes along. I also realize that I am simply not ready to enter into a dating scene. I don't like bars, have found churches unwelcoming, and there are no women in my classes,.... and online dating sites are NOT for me. I'm not into sports. I really never have been social.
*shrugs* I'd like to find someone to spend time with, doing things we enjoy in common... eventually. Right now, I actually need the time to myself to work a lot of things out - so when the right person DOES show up, I will be ready for a healthy relationship.
Everybody tells us that we are a "cute couple." Past relationships are irrelevant to us (I was married over 30 years). We are just enjoying each others love and company and looking towards the future.
For example, if your an FTM, and you identify as male, people refuse to see you as male, they see you as female, and think that somehow your trying to edge your way in the mens bathroom to get a look at some dongs or something. The same is true for MTF. People who don't see us as who we truly are, usually pass, becaues they are looking for the BBD, bigger better deal.
What many people don't realize is, sometimes the BBD are found in the transgender community. I never had any success whatsoever in relationships, every single one failed. And I really shouldn't call them relationships, cause they didn't last long enough to be considered relationships! I look at my entire life as a complete failure.
Now after speaking with my brother, he doesn't like that I say that because he doesn't believe my whole life has been a failure, but it feels that way when your single for half your life. Nothing feels worse then when you feel like a failure. You ask yourself, what is wrong with me? What did I do wrong? Or when someone isn't interesting in you in that way from the very start, you ask yourself, am I ugly?
We need to hear more success stories in here like yours, cause I truly have felt like the path of transgender is a lonly one.
I seriously thought I was going to get my ear chewed off by someone.. The person that rejected me even hit on me. SO it was one confusing mess. I think they could not admit to themselves that they are bisexual. I feel sorry for them. I am wondering how many unresolved loves they have had in their life.
I wish every one would except that we all are different. Who know who the most excepting people in the world is Stevie Wonder.
He judges you by your voice and I believe that is where the soul lies and not in a persons eyes. :) You truly are a very wonderful person Angel... The name suits you very well :D :D
Please don't give up on finding the right person. I am in my late 50's and my girlfriend is in her mid 40's. It is never too late and I truly believe that there is someone out there for everybody! It was not easy for us to get together. We met on OK Cupid, and we started chatting around the end of January of 2014. and we did not meet until December of that year, She stood me up three times and each time I just wanted to meet at a restaurant! I never gave up and it was so worth everything!
Yeah, this is one lonely life I tell yeah, but what keeps me going is my hobbies, things I like to do. I dread the idea of waiting another 20 years for love though. But who knows what the universe will throw at me, I can't predict the future, I can only see one possible future. I almost feel like crying again but I am keeping it together.
Why exactly did she stood you up 3 times? That part doesn't make sense to me unless the reason she stood you up was out of fear of putting herself out there. Because if that is the reason I get that completely. I have had too many fails in my past to drive me to put myself out there, even using a dating site.
