About Me

I am a FTM, who after suffering almost 45 years in silence, has FINALLY come forward to my surviving parent and explained my position. Luckily, my mother has heard about Chaz Bono, so she wasn\'t as upset or shocked as I had feared. She\'s accepted the whole idea, and has become very supportive, if still cautious about how the world will react. I\'ve had a complete hysterectomy in March, and I had a bilateral radical breast reduction done in August - down from a set of DDD\'s to barely there A/B\'s. I\'m 46 now, and still healing from the surgery in August 2011. I was born a male in a female body, and I identify as a straight male. I\'ve hit a few snags, and been stuck in Limbo due to an unhealed wound. I am trying to be patient, but it\'s getting harder. I\'ve moved to another city, closer to where the surgeon and other doctors I go to are. I have had a bilateral masectomy July 2012, and things are going better. It\'s October, and I have seen an endocrinologist. Will be on T in about 2 weeks. I\'ve been on T a while now(it\'s Sept. 2013), almost a year. My voice is deepening, I have a thicker beard, a mustache, and more masculine face. My body is still changing - getting leaner as I loose weight - and I\'ve been off antidepressants for several months now! I pass as male regularly, and all my IDs list me as male. I am a much happier fellow now that I\'m free to be myself. Wish I had been able to do this decades ago.... Time to get on with living!
