blinks and heavy twitch?

and i dont know anything about this
so im just trying to find out a few things

as a kid i had a blinking to much problem they took me to the doctors because of it..they didnt come up with any answers to stop it in the end that stopped its self
so
is that odd that it changed to another type ??

i get an anxiety tension jerking thing that gets stronger the more i stop it from happening
also i feel more calmb after

till it builds again.
but only get that when i have anxiety,it always comes out then.
and if i ever get drunk it gets quite bad then.
..but ive never heard people talk about that.

There are things like tic disorders, where a person has a motor tic but not full blown tourette's. It sounds like you may have something like this, especially if it only happens when having anxiety? By the way it is not unusual to have a tic suddenly change to a different one. Mine change fairly frequently. I have never paid attention to whether alcohol intensifies them though! :)

Out of curiousity had you started any new meds around the time this new tic started up? There are meds out there that can cause tics as a side effect.

My son has Complex Tic disorder and has experienced several different types of tics just in his first 7 months of having Tics. Sometimes it is a different day--different tic--so I know that can be the nature of this "beast".

After reading everything I could get my hands on about Tics and Tourettes, I started to realize that I too had Tics as a child and have them periodically as an adult. My family would comment on all my "Habits" as we called them (moving hair from my face, blinking a lot, grunting, whistling between my teeth, tensing neck muscles, cracking nuckles, etc...)when I was growing up. They never got me in trouble or caused too much extra attention but I know they were there and I now can put a name to them. I too experience them the most as an adult during times of excitement or anxiety. I am guessing you are dealing with the same thing.

Hi!Im new to this too-my son,whom is 12years old has Tourettes,which at the moment(and has done so for the past 18months),which displays itself as violent head/neck movements.Previously it has presented with "throat clearing",heel kicking,touching things and people,and a brief time of Coprahalia.
Unfortunately,he also has OCD,Asthma but,overriding that severe allergies;this has unfortunately interfered with any medications that we have previously tried,as he has reacted to medication in one way or another,consequently this has ended up with him on no medication.This in turn has made him VERY cross and frustrated with his life,which,in turn leads to behaioural problems.He is a bright,clever little boy,and i would love to make his life easier and more able to deal with for him.
If anyone shres any of these multiple"issues"pleae contact me;or any advice or suggestions please contact me as id love to hear.
