Thanks everyone! Already went against doctors orders by walking a mile. I couldn't swing my right arm because of too much pain. Still have pain in my neck and shoulder and tailbone. Doctors said I compressed my spinal cord on impact and the subsequent swelling made me lose feeling in my right arm and hand temporarily. My emotions have been all over the place. First, I thought I would be paralyzed for life and now I think I will actualy return to somewhat of a normal life in time.

I think being in good shape from all the walking I have been doing lately is making me heal faster.

No pain meds except ibprofen. I havent taken narcotics for 4 years and didn't want to ruin my record. Plus they gave me a shot of toradol which is a powerful anti inflammatory drug.

I overdid it yesterday and paid the price. Think I will take it easy this weekend.

You people are so often, makes me proud to be a member of this group. I am all healed except for a little oreness in my wrists and hands that feels like needles picking me but I am told that will go away in time also.

I wanted to try to do a mile today just to see but was afraid tom attempt it for some reason.
I dunno.

Do you have those ice grippers on your shoes? Pillow tied to your bum? Be careful!

No see I had just come home from a 4 mile walk and I had my sneakers on which are slippery on ice. I should have changed my shoes but I had some garbage in my hand and I wanted to get rid of it. That is why I kept going out to the trash can. I happened to notice that the emt's broke a spindle in the railing on my deck. Have to send them a bill I guess, Just kidden LOL! I bet the one I get from them will be a wopper! What does it cost for an ambulance ride these days?

Please be patient with yourself. I had to modify some Chair Yoga moves due to pain and when I did the pain went away. Fancy that!
