Good morning ladies! I read Sunday and Monday and for some reason thought it was still Monday so was typing away a response. Suddenly it dawned on me - tada it's Tuesday lol! Darn brain fog. Oh well, I had a good bit done so I'll just continue with it.
Aren't we all busy beavers! I woke to a freezing cold house this morning - only 8C (only 46.4F).it will warm up to about 70 today but that's fine with me. I prefer it anything but hot. Toni I don't know how you deal with those temps! Stay hydrated and put off the sun, that's brutal!
Sandra great job on the shed. That was quick work! Will we get to see it? Give yourself a break now. You deserve it.
Joanne as distracted as I get (when I get going) I can't imagine ADHD. I'd never get anything finished. Knowing you you'll wrap it all up and have it all finished - eventually. Can't wait to see your planters and chairs!
Great news! It seems this nerve block worked! I slept really well the first two nights. Last night I was only up with shoulder pain once then slept till 6am which is still amazing. I got my brain back!! I feel rested and very little leg and hip pain so I'm getting a few little things done. Nothing big, mostly helping Drew with housework, tidying and folding laundry. I've made myself a todo list for the week with just one main task to accomplish that I normally couldn't do, or did with difficulty. Like sweeping or cleaning the bathroom. These are things Drew doesn't do much so it's really been bothering me. It will get done slowly.
Drew's father brought us a plant a few days ago. I didn't recognize it right away but it is a houseplant we have gramma years ago. An orchid sold as 'just add ice' plant. It was one little stem with a beautiful heart shaped flower that lookslike plastic. Well now it is huge, lots of stems and leaves and at least a dozen flowers though some are dying off now. It's gorgeous and now the only houseplant I have. I really hope I can keep it alive.
Well I should go do something. After being sedentary for so long I struggle to get motivated - gotta do while I feel like doing. Have a great day and stay safe.
Peace and hugs, ssLisa

89FToday it is again another hot day but cooler then yesterday. Since this is August it is to be expected in my neck of the woods. All the grass is yellow and flowers are starting to go to seed. I need to water my garden but this time of the year I'm so over it, which is weird because all my plants have their fruit or veggies.Sandra, this time of year reminds me of your Dad and his toms. We'd...

I'm not hurting as bad as I thought I would thank God. My elbow is a little sore , but I stretched it a bit getting a bag out of the truck. I kept stretching it last night so it's doable.
I'm having my brother over for lunch. He mentioned after working midnight's hes hot and tired, the last thing he feels like doing is cook. I could see the weight loss. My turn to do for him. Making him bbq chicken, potato salad and I'll squeeze something else in there.
Still need to jump in the shower.
Erika hope calgon took you away and you found some relief.
Moonie know how you feel. My brain was on overdrive, because of my epilepsy and thank goodness the medicine has calmed it down. I was so wired I repeatedly counted to 100, usually with my fingers, I had zip control over it. Antiseizuire meds might be something you want to look into. I even am sleeping after all these years, I still have my days, but overall much better.
Peace love harmony xoxo
Lisa-I am so happy for you and being able to move and do what you want without so much pain, yeah!!! Research the plant to keep it alive!
Toni-tried the epilepsy meds to no avail. Your brother is one lucky dude to have you there to help feed him!!
Mario had his yearly physical and not good and not surprising news. Prostate cancer is 99% a positive by the PSA numbers. He will see the oncologists to weigh out the options armed with the 3 hours of research I did for him. The good news is he is pro-active in going to the doctor when needed and of course hs yearly physicals.
The Covid is still such an issue that not venturing to family outings even at parks. We will have oldest son/DIL here on Saturday with masks and dinner outside on the deck. The seating will be 6 feet apart.
come one come all......
PEACE
Another busy busy day. Honestly dont know how my dad has managed to do all that he has over the last few days!
Today we put up a shelf above the bench
Moved loads of boxes and bits and pieces over to the new shed.
Taken down brackets and shelves in the old shed
Put up dads vice and grinding wheel device.
We worked well as a team.
He's done a lot of walking to and fro.
Lisa, so good to hear the nerve block has made you feel so much better : ) I'm fascinated by the sound of that plant. I'm trying to have a go at house plants myself.
Toni, Have a lovely lunch with your brother, sounds good. happy 10th birthday to your nephew.
Joanne, So sorry to hear mario's physical didnt go so well. At least you will be prepared and proactive like you say.
Will try to add photo of shed
