Hello folks, sorry I disappeared for a few days again. It's been a busy week. Granddaughter's 1st birthday is this coming Monday and I've been working on a rag doll for her. I had to put that on hold for now. Had my nerve block on Tuesday. Boy did this one hurt! Triggered the nerves in both legs. He had to stop 3-4 times during the injection to let me catch my breath and relax. My lower back has been super sore ever since but that might have more to do with the fact I wasn't able to relax for 2 days afterwards as recommended.
Drew's (hubby) grandmother passed away early Wednesday morning. His mother ran off when he was only 7 so he was very close to this paternal grandmother. She was 99 and ready to go so I'm more sad for him than her - she's at peace now and lived a good life. Drew will miss her alot.
With a wake and funeral to go to we had to go shopping for a suit, shirt, shoes etc. As he hadn't had need of one since he put on weight over the last 10 years or so. 2 trips shopping and eating out yesterday was way more than I should have done. Now I have his pants to alter and hem, my own pants to mend and still have to finish Stevie's rag doll for Monday which is both the funeral and then directly to birthday party.
Would have had the funeral Friday but we have 2 storms moving in back to back starting today and continue into Saturday. I'll have lots of time to finish my sewing at least. Today is rest and recuperate day, hopefully one day will do it. On the plus side the doctor who did my injection said he is going to forward his notes on to the surgeon I am supposed to see and hopefully get me moved up the list some. He was concerned when I told him how weak my legs get, shaking after just a few moments on my feet. Seems normal to me now.
I'm feeling a bit frazzled with everything going on but a friend suggested meditation today. I'm going to give that a shot and try to calm my mind down. I hope you all are having a good week so far.

I got my floor done! My gosh what an undertaking. All I'm doing to it today is going over it with a mop. Next step in the room is touch up the walls. Thankfully there isn't much to do there.
I'm gagging here! Trump is on, full of shit, which means himself.
Still need to go get flea meds and a little freezing rain is out there so easy goes it. I was going to go yesterday, but just gave out.

So sorry to hear about your husbands grandmother, but like you say she's at peace and had a good life. Youve certainly been busy and through a lot just lately. Hope you get to relax at some point.

I came out of work and the sun was shining and the sky was blue. There was a chill, but the air smelt so fresh : )
Ive had this odd pain going through the top of my head the last couple of days, its not painful, but not nice either.
Cant wait for bed time, eyes are sore and i'm tired.

Lisa, very sorry to hear your news. I hope you get everything done to plan (and that includes less pain). I couldn’t imagine how to adjust attending a funeral and then a birthday party. You are one tough cookie.
Toni, nice work on completing the floor. Well, we have cold rain at the moment. So I can relate. I can’t believe I am in winter pj’s when only a few days ok I was sweating up a storm. Hope you get a much easier day ahead.
