It's going to get hotter here with Thursday being the hottest. It's noon and 75f feels more like 80 or more.I've been cleaning up the deck in this morning and cleaning the windows outside. Then I cut up a pallet in half, I've decided to call it quits now because I went a bit light headed. Joanne, some drugs we take have an effect on us in the heat, I know a couple of mine do, maybe yours...

89FToday it is again another hot day but cooler then yesterday. Since this is August it is to be expected in my neck of the woods. All the grass is yellow and flowers are starting to go to seed. I need to water my garden but this time of the year I'm so over it, which is weird because all my plants have their fruit or veggies.Sandra, this time of year reminds me of your Dad and his toms. We'd...

I bought this plant at work, I thought it was unusual, there's also another I bought, I'll add that picture tomorrow.
This one is called mini bromeliad guzmania.
Never heard of it lol.
I'm guessing a type of cactus maybe??
I have to get a couple of nice pots to put them in.
It's sunny and hot and 75 at the moment.
We walked through the park to pettswood. You know it's funny, people with dogs say hello and good morning. Out in the street it's not a common thing.
I said to Doug people with dogs are just friendly people lol.
Maybe owning a dog makes you a better person..
Joanne going to your mom's and baking to death probably gives you an idea of what it's like in most English home's in heatwaves. Yeah we have air conditioning in our store, not every store here does. My sister is doing well. Did your organising get done?
Carly, we so need a downpour of rain. Your medical system seems so different to ours, it's like you have so many choices of what medical person you see and what medical procedures you have.
I'm going into the garden now, we have an old unit of dad's that got put in the shed to use for storage, but we decided to get rid of it because it's too big. So we need to pull it apart.
I'm driving one and a half hours to meet with a few cousins in the town we founded. It's a beautiful small town with a waterfall that was part of our property, my great uncle donated the area.
Sandra, your plant is a tropical plant and that flower is actually called a bract. Eventually it will produce tiny baby plants. It likes indoor bright light. I made a dent in the reorg!
BRIT RANTS on YouTube is a must watch for you Sandra. Americans don't realize how weird their homes look to Brits. It is so funny!!
Carly, you keep your AC at what temp? I keep ours at 73F but when it hits 71F. Mario likes it really cool. How is Mike feeling about the up coming appointments.
What is so funny is how on Brit Rants everyone on there kept on and on about the refrigerators, the sink and garbage disposal, walk in robs in every house. Also, that most of us have a storm door and then the front door. Also they freaked out about washer/dryer in separate room. Also, the electric outlets in every room, so many. We watch a lot of Brit TV and knew there were differences but this was really interesting! One guy said AC/Heat is brilliant in the houses and when he goes home he wants this.
PEACE
Was in hospital this past week so am just trying to get from point A to B. Exhausted. HUGS all around!
