Today it is again another hot day but cooler then yesterday. Since this is August it is to be expected in my neck of the woods. All the grass is yellow and flowers are starting to go to seed. I need to water my garden but this time of the year I'm so over it, which is weird because all my plants have their fruit or veggies.
Sandra, this time of year reminds me of your Dad and his toms. We'd compare his ripening to mine and there was always a difference. I'm sure you also the toms. How is the rest of your garden with the water hose restrictions?
We know each country and region builds and completes housing in a different way but there were a few things quite surprising on Brit Rant youtube. Screens on windows, the Brits on the program had never had them to keep out bugs, is that true for all of the country? Also, why are closests or robes stand alone and not built into the bedroom?

For some reason my motivation is about zero. I'm sure all the business this week with Mom and even reorg has popped my balloon. Out door heat really zaps me even though we have AC in the house it still for some reason causes me to be lethargic in the morning.

78FCooler today. In Noto, Sicily it was 46.5C which is115.7F. We have family living there and it was miserable. The reason for the temps was by North African anticyclones. My cousin is a climate change specialist. The spent the day in pool and the ocean with long sleeve tee shirts and sun screen, hats and sun glasses. All of Italy and Sicily close down, everything, for three weeks every August. I...
My grass is dry and yellow and some the plants are dry but I'm trying to keep up with the watering. We still have the ban. It's so much easier with a hose but not as healthy lol, the amount of walking around I'm now doing to water.
This heat and yours definitely zaps your energy.
I did watch a few Brit rants lol. I've never come across a screen door on any home.
A lot of houses didn't get built with closets, so yeah wardrobes are a must here.
Some like ours does have a built in closet but it's very small, it's 27 inches wide and the depth is 21. It's barely enough for one persons clothes.
I've got a stand alone wardrobe and a chest of drawers, Doug has the built in closet and a chest of clothes.
We actually did have a pantry space in our kitchen, not a huge one, but they become unfashionable and so it was removed. I really would love it back! The fridge freezer is in that space now.
You certainly can't plug in anything in the bathroom like a hairdryer, it's not ok with our regulations on safety.
Like I've said before we have our washing machine in our kitchens.

Leo, I read your journal and about your uterus. If you asked for it to be removed would they? Maybe the best thing. I can't believe you look after everyone but you get left to get on with it when you get out of hospital, that ain't right.
