It's just a tiny flowerbed but I love it and it's all I can handle. The bench is in there to put potted plants on I just haven't got them yet. We're just at the beginning of our outdoor planting season so I have time. 
I will be adding some marigolds in between these perennials so I'll have colour well into the fall.
I used to have flower beds everywhere with lots of perennials. I also grew a big veggie garden when the kids were young. I'm happy to just be able to do this and keep it looking nice now.

89FToday it is again another hot day but cooler then yesterday. Since this is August it is to be expected in my neck of the woods. All the grass is yellow and flowers are starting to go to seed. My gardens aren't large either, but I love them just the way they are. Yay you've finally hit planting weather! I love hostas and you picked some pretty ones.
Maybe you could put a climbing rose in the back behind the bench.
