This is the beach that we love to go to during the summer. This week we had a few really nice days so at 8am one morning we went for a drive. It was beautiful with lots of fishing boats out on the water fishing lobster. I can't get down to the beach as it's very rocky but I enjoy the view, the smells and the sound of the waves from the bank.
I haven't been doing much these days. My knees hurt so bad I can barely stand or walk most days. I make sure to get up and move ever 30-60 minutes and been using ice packs on my left knee as it swells alot.
Toni it seems you're in a hard spot with only so many choices. I Agree it would be good if you could sell and move with your sister. I'm glad to hear they are offering to come and help. Best of luck whatever you do. Hope you are starting to feel better.
Moonie and serenity I feel for you both dealing with aging parents. My mom is 80 and her husband is 89 and so far they are both doing great but that could change at any time and it scares me.
Empathy I'd love to know what recipe you have for chick peas in the air fryer. It's something I'd love to try. We got one as a wedding gift and use it alot.
Take care my friends, stay cool and take care of yourselves. Peace and hugs,
Lisa

89FToday it is again another hot day but cooler then yesterday. Since this is August it is to be expected in my neck of the woods. All the grass is yellow and flowers are starting to go to seed. I need to water my garden but this time of the year I'm so over it, which is weird because all my plants have their fruit or veggies.Sandra, this time of year reminds me of your Dad and his toms. We'd...

toni, that would be some good therapy, wouldn't it?!
i'll take a big dose of ocean air myself. i'm so tired of being landlocked. i woke up early this morning and the humidity was already at 90%. i've already gotten a text from the speaker helper, so maybe i'll listen to music today :) as i do a few things. i got my biggest errands done yesterday and back to pay my rent and they'd closed early for summer hours.
the community room is open again, so folks have been gathering in there to play dominoes in the AC.
it's just going to be a go with the flow day here.
I love the beach and dream of selling up one day and retiring to the beach in a bungalow somewhere, probably Herne bay.
I think youve mixed me up with Serenity, she has the air fryer.
Yes indeed we are all dealing with aging parents, dad was 92 recently. I care for him in a light capacity. I help change the sheets, (he tries himself first) do his eye drops, change light bulbs, just odd little things, but i'm sure as time goes by it will increase.
Its good you get up here and there even though its painful, it would be so easy to give up and become immobile.
