Hello all, hope you all had a lovely Easter day! No family visiting here. They are very strict about not visiting with anyone who doesn't live in your household. A lady got a $1000 fine for having 5 'outsiders' in her house about a week ago. I'm sure there were still plenty who got together but people were creative - delivering dinner to family and friends, one family did a potluck style where each cooked part of the dinner and dessert and delivered to the other family members so they all ended up with the same meal. Others celebrated over face-time, zoom, etc. I sent out messages to my family - were not telephone people but I may become one soon. I miss them all so much.
Well after my fall Saturday I'm hurting pretty bad and in places I never hurt before. My left knee is still swollen and I've got a bunch of bruises. Drew is taking good care of me though, slathering me in heat rub 3-4 times a day and refusing to let me do anything. I'll recover mostly but it might be a couple weeks.
Sandra I love your yard. Those pots are so nice and bright, love the colors and I just love the big flower on your fence.
What is everyone planning to keep busy this week? If Drew let's me up I hope to finish all my masks. I'm also working on a list of things I can do whether I can get up or not. Maybe some hobbies I haven't worked on in awhile.
Bring it to the circle peeps!
Peace and hugs,
ssLisa

89FToday it is again another hot day but cooler then yesterday. Since this is August it is to be expected in my neck of the woods. All the grass is yellow and flowers are starting to go to seed. I need to water my garden but this time of the year I'm so over it, which is weird because all my plants have their fruit or veggies.Sandra, this time of year reminds me of your Dad and his toms. We'd...

Lisa I was afraid you'd be hurting extra after your fall. It seems a few days after are always the worse. Drew sure is a keeper :). It definitely was a different Easter for everyone. Most were feeling the loss of visits. $1000 fine wow! I haven't heard of anything like that here, but your country is more contained too. We've remained the top of the list for casualties, maybe we need to follow your ways. Our idiot president is talking about returning to work, that'll just spread it more. I hope people put safety first. Nice your masks are keeping you busy, helpful and taking your mind off those aches and pains.
I noticed this morning a big limb down, just when I had my brush piles almost caught up.
I found a dryer on the marketplace for $40 all it needs is a cord, I should be able to take mine off and put it on this one. Can't beat $40. My brother is going to pick it up tonight. One less thing to worry about.
I'm going to call in the delivery of my new meds. Get the old blood thinned out ;). I found some baby aspirin so I'll be set.
Have a shelving unit I want to swap out in my entry area for the beat up table I have today.
Now if only I figure out how to stop a drip in my kitchen sink!
Thinking of making a pot pie today.
Where did our warm temps go? Our sunshine?
Peace love harmony xoxo
As for your dripping tap you should be able to fix that, you're pretty handy. It might just need a new o-ring, the rubber ring or seal that goes inside the tap. I replaced ours myself a while back. Unfortunately our taps are really old and wore out and it didn't stop the drip. Normally it would but we need a new set of taps.
Have a great day. Where is everyone else?
keeping things together is extra hard when mother nature steps in. i hope she'll be kinder to you now, Toni. and stop her limbs from falling. pot pie sounds wonderful! i hope the dryer works out, thats a steal.
have an 11 oclock phone session then its take it easy. ive been having extra pain in my low back. and when i stand my legs are super heavy, heavy to the point of needing extra support. will keep an eye out. im okay otherwise.
i hope this moan-day turns out alright
Lisa, not surprised your hurting quite a bit after that fall. its tends to jar the whole body. Yes Drew is a keeper : )
Toni, it sounds different where you are, like Lisa we are not allowed to visit family either, altho i expect some have. There has also been talk of fines.
Look on youtube to stop a leaky tap, there are lots of helpful vids.
Result on the dryer ! : )
Well the weather changed, its been blowy and a bit chilly. Ive not done much today, more painting but little pots, not sure what to do with them when done. I thought about putting fake flowers in them and displaying them on the brick wall.
No joanne i dont group my pots, ive a big garden and i just spread them all around. I tend to plant anything, I know primrose seem to do well in my garden so i buy more of those. Hydrangea, not had any luck with those. If i like something i get dad to take a cutting for me because he's a good gardener : )
Who is the sweetheart little girl in the pic, she is beautiful : )
x
take it easy : )
Lisa-so sorry with increased pain and Easter was certainly different for all of this during the stay-home.
Toni-how are you progressing on thinking/doing the move? Are you actually going to do it this year or wait? Glad about the dryer.
Erika-Do you like the phone/calls for the doctor meeting? Take care of your balance with the leg issue.
Sandra-Your dad sounds like a great addition to your gardening to be able to provide cuttings. That's how I got most of my garden plants is by cutting and saving seeds.
We took a drive towards the beach knowing we'd turn around at Camp 18 as it was a beautiful day. The beaches are closed and I agree. On the way home we were going East on the same hwy and wowza!!! A tree had fallen across the two lane hwy and missed the cars but 5 cars ran into each other. 3 cars totaled but the miracle was no one hurt. I called 911. Amazing no lives injured.
Going to do something......
PEACE
Joanne that is such a miracle no one was hurt. Especially with so many cars involved. Glad you weren't amongst them.
Attempted to take off my old line, but only got so far, it'll take he man!
Erika worried about your back, maybe it's time for that wheelchair. I know! Just a tool remember :). Hope you are relaxing.
Lisa I meant to ask about the picture too! I can't believe she's that old already! Nana needs here grandbabies!
Moonie thank goodness you weren't involved in the collision! A miracle no one was hurt.
Waiting on the dryer owner to contact me. I'm ready to go!
